Popped in for lunch on a rainy day with the dog and mum. Pub smelt as pubs should - of old fires. Had a nice lunch at a reasonable price. Menu had a good choice and offered smaller meals.

The only thing missing from this bar is the sweet smell of stale cigarette smoke. Beautiful old fashioned oldie worldie pub. Serving a load of different local ales and cider. Free WiFi and a nice smile behind the bar. With water jugs hanging from the...More

we are dog friendly. Your faithful friend is allowed in both bars and the Carvery/family room. The only area they are not allowed in is our restaurant up the steps. I hope this has answered your question

Yes, it's always possible to book a table in advance at a restaurant or restaurant-pub. If planning to go somewhere specific for a meal I would always book in advance unless I have been there before and I know they always... More

Description
If you want high quality Pub Grub...Great portion size and value for money then this is the place to go. We have tables in the bar areas and outside and a family room with books and pictures to colour for the kids. We have a restaurant area where service is by waitress and the menu is as the down stairs but the ambiance differs from the bar areas for those wanting the quality of our food with that extra special service. We have live music on Saturday nights therefore all tables are removed from the main bar area leaving seating in the bottom bar and family area. This is always a busy night so booking for a meal is always necessary. The music starts at 9.30Pm till 12.30Ish and can be view on our web page. We also have many events which are well worth a visit always with great entertainment and always for a deserving cause.
