Despite the challenges posed by a recent kitchen fire, the team at the Masons Arms looked after us brilliantly. We booked a lunch for 20 people before the fire occurred, but they still managed to provide us with an excellent lunch, with plenty of variety...and something for everyone, cooked on the barbecue and in the pizza oven. The quality of the pulled pork burger was second to none! If you're in Camelford do pop in for a great selection of beers and ciders, as well as the delicious food. This lovely pub had a kitchen fire 3 weeks ago and have managed to keep a menu going by cooking on a out door BBQ. They are to be applauded as the food was wonderful (despite a wait to get it) and was well worth...the wait with large portions and freshly cooked food. The burgers were exceptional and the chilli was home cooked and tasty! I would recommend and if we were here longer would visit again to support them.More

Have been coming here for 30 years with local family and friends. Prices for drinks gone through the roof. Was charged £14.45 for a large Chardonnay and a pint of Proper Job. I actually questioned the price but was told it was the large wine...that caused the high price. On the menu the wine is £8.25 a large glass that makes a pint of Proper Job...£6.20. I usually pay £4.20. That will be my last drink at the Masons.More

The Bar and Service Staff were pleasant ! the food was not that great a big disappointment after visiting the Cob Web in Boscastle the day before. Limited menu...had to ask for my green beans and they were very crunchy on arrival ...shame ...

This was the only pub we could find to eat , while staying in the area on Saturday We booked in advance and the restaurant area was quiet No curry, lasagne , pizzas Only one choice pie , so limited choice No puddings offered after...main menu Wine £10 a glass! I see other visitors complaining on TripAdvisor Catch of the day cod! Really!! Ordered 515pm as we arrived early we know it is cooked fresh as per sign , but two table ordered after us had theirs first !! 45 minutes later ours arrived Grilled chicken burger had a dry bap thin slice lettuce and half tomatoe slice! no sauce chicken very dry had to ask for bbq sauce to put in it! We wish we bought a takeaway pizza up the road! Husband had the fish which had bones in it Chips and onion rings greasy 15 pound a meal! Would not visit if in the area againMore

The best pizza for miles amazing home made scotch eggs and the funniest most characterful people! Unique and wonderful! And you can have a local brew from Roo,he's top! and all the hosts. It's a special place ,Kate and Alan you do an amazing job!

Having reserved a table, we were on time and had to wait 25 minutes for our table to become available. Once seated we then had to wait another 35 minutes for our main course. The food was ok, but very ordinary. It was too hot...to eat for at least 20 minutes. We were not alone in having to wait so long. There seemed to be very few staff and we ended up eating very late.More

There was a function in the park, so the menu was reduced. Certain items had sold out. This should indicate that they are serving fresh food.

A hidden gem. From service to food the staff cant do enough for you .The food taste is amazing, its fresh and you can definitely tell .With it being fresh bare in mind you have to wait a little while but worth it .The disability...access is brilliant too .If you want a traditional cornish pub this is it .Thank you definitely recommend.More

We was a bit unsure when read other reviews but had no other choice so we tried and it was lovely the 2nd time visited which has 30/5/2023 we were told 40 minute wait for food but turn out only to be 10-20 minutes

Used to be a lovel but pub gone downhill needs a change in management in my opinion and needs a major over haul it's tired and dated

Rough dive with a beer garden that just charged me £10 for a large white wine. I had an hour to fill before my bus, I fancied staying for another if the price was wrong but when I questioned it the Landlady justified it with..."well it's what I have to pay so that's how much it is". I went next door and bought a bottle from Spar for £5.99. If she's getting charged that much maybe she should be buying it in from Spar next door too. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I'm not an offensive or bad person but if a pub thinks they can just exploit you like that and justify it with stupid reasoning, do you really want to feed into it? One star cos the sun was shining and otherwise I couldn't leave no stars.More
