Sunday roast with an amazing view of the Cornish coast. You can't beat it. We love going to the Bowgie for lunch as we know it will be a great meal, good value for money and there will be friendly staff. Added to that the amazing view and plenty of parking and it's already a winner before you add that... More

A very windy December day, but a great place to stop for lunch. Our second visit to the Bowgie Inn in 4 months, and it is a place that will be on our list to visit every time we holiday in the Cornwall area. The meals are well worth a try and a good selection is offered on the main... More

Sometimes crowded but out of season, this is a great pace to stop for food and drink if you're walking the south west coast path . We sat outside and looked at fabulous views and drank well kept beer in ten sunshine . Marvellous .

Gammon steak was really hard... Dry and tough - waiter was told and he said "oh sorry about that". Even if the gammon was OK the whole dish lacked thought and presentation. The burgers were thin, low quality, that you might expect to see served out of polystyrene from a roadside van, with cheap "plastic cheese" squares to make the... More

Once again another fantastic meal at the Bowgie Inn. The service was ultra quick and the staff and especially the waiter couldn't of been more friendly or helpful. I had the Spinach, Feta & Ricotta quiche which was to die for. Portion sizes were good too.

Lovely atmosphere. Nice and warm. Christmas decorations had just gone up too. Plenty of choice to eat and drink. Staff were friendly and helpful. Prices not too bad either. Well worth a visit!

Visited this restaurant and was very disappointed. I thought I would treat myself to one of the more expensive fish dishes a "Smoked Seafood Salad" According to the menu, the fish is from "the smokehouse at St. Mawes" making you believe the fish is going to be fresh, tender and very tasty. How wrong could you be! The piece of... More

The Bowgie is a superb pub/restaurant overlooking Crantock beach. Loads of ambiance, especially in the old bar with a blazing fire. There's an extensive menu with something for everyone. However, don't go for the fish and chips - the fish is coated in batter which is so thick and heavy it makes it really unpalatable.....a great disappointment! Go for the... More

After a long journey on the train, after unpacking we headed to the Bowgie Inn. Lovely welcome from staff, who were very happy to help on selecting drink/food etc. One lad even helped my friend with her phone as she was having trouble with it. She had steak, I had the homemade quiche with salad , excellent food, but oh... More
