Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Greeted immediately by a warm welcome. So friendly engaging and helpful. The coffee was fantastic and cake was delicious especially after a long walk on the beach. Dog friendly, will certainly return when back at the end of the year for new year

Even on a drizzly Sunday this is a great place to stop for Lunch. We both had the smoked chicken Caesars salad which was perfect, coffee was also great. We sat outside to enjoy the view limited by the drizzle but really nice.

Lots of choice of hot & cold tasty bits to munch on & the same for the drinks huge offering! On & off I have been visiting Gwithian & Sunset Surf for at least 20 years & have never ever been disappointed, always a nice...few bits to choose from the small shop. Staff & owners change but the vibe of the place remains. Any of you please consider before you make negative comments about these independent businesses in these locations, you try to staff up to end up with a vibrant & “can do attitude” team, Things happen & I always ask myself as a customer before I ‘raise an eyebrow’ have I been fair? I ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO VISITS TO SUNSET SURF AFTER A TROMP THROUGH THE DUNES, OR A DAY ON THE BEACH. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORKMore

Been twice to this cafe, first time we missed the breakfast deadline so opted for the sandwich, it really didn’t disappoint in terms of quality, some would say pricy, but I do believe justified to reach the quality of food standard they aim for, I...really enjoyed the experience and food, and I am a bacon butty fan, which brings you into visit two. This time primed and ready for the visit for breakfast, it does not disappoint, again quality food with quality bread, not your standard white sliced. Very friendly staff who were happy to allow our dogs in the cafe with the rain outside (day one) and outside for day 2 , it’s a must if you are planning the beach to get fuelled up before you set off or when you come back. The only thing I picked up on was my bacon bap was presented on a small plate which made it a mission to keep on the plate, not a criticism at all but a compliment for the size of the bap. Would make the effort just to drive here and eat at the very least. Great local small business with an eye on the ball.More

We used this cafe a couple of times whilst visiting Gwithian Beach. The coffees and smoothies are nice, but the cakes are especially good.

A great breakfast place. The rolls and sausage were delicious and it is the perfect location for a quick cuppa while the kids were surfing! It sells surf clothes too. Always handy when the weather turns and you need to but a jumper!!!

What a shame. We have been coming to Gwithian most summers since 2010 and have experienced the decline in this place. No more sunsets - it used to do great evening meals, now you can’t even get a drink or ice cream past 4 pm....Don’t you think it’s about time you changed your name - Limited Surf???More

What a friendly and helpful place. The food is excellent (the chips are definitely a treat being crispy and fluffy). This place is busy, as with all good cafe's and restaurants, but the staff still do their utmost to welcome you and provide really good...food. It's also perfectly placed on the Cornwall coast path, just over halfway between Hayle and Godrevy Head, which makes the excellent food even more welcome. If you're planning a walk along the South West coast path, or if your just visiting Gwithian Beach, make this part of your visit - it'll add a little something special to your day.More

Walked here today for 3pm, only to find it closed! Opening hours stated until 4pm. Very disappointed, hopefully opening hours will be clarified soon. Lots of people milling around the area too, they definitely lost £20 of our custom, and God knows how much else....Strange in these times with small businesses struggling etc.More

What a great place for a lunchtime pit stop !! We visited here many years ago but had heard it was destroyed in a storm. The refurbished edition is superb !! They have kept the charm of the original cafe but with a few modern...updates. I honestly can’t fault the food or any of the staff. This really is a gem of a place - well done all and long may you continue to do exactly as you are now.More
