Welcoming fire, personable staff and good food. We really enjoyed the fish and chips. There is plenty of parking

Lovely country pub with friendly locals and staff plus a log fire for cold nights (and a lovely garden for warmer evenings). Plenty of good parking at the rear. Good choice of food and good portions of quality. My son said it was one of the best sirloin steaks he had ever had and my fish was fresh and not... More

Although a fair way out from Helston itself the journey was well worth the wait. Think of your typical country pub with log fire and this is it. And to make matters even better the food was superb. I highly recommend you examine the specials board. The Ales are also good. A beautiful pub with superb food. What more can... More

Very smart and clean pub-come-restaurant. Good atmosphere, quiet, with nice decor and feel. Food was excellent, we were not rushed and the service was attentive but not in your face.

On holiday we were touring the beautiful coves and countryside and luckily came across this wonderful pub. IN all my time of visiting pubs and there have been many over the years I have never seen one so spotlessly clean, tidy and pleasantly decorated and if this wasn't enough the grounds including a site for camping were immaculate also. The staff... More

We had dinner here on a Monday night in October. There was loads of parking in the back and a very elegant garden area for dining al fresco weather permitting. We arrived around 6:30 and there were just a few locals at the bar. It was a chilly night and they had a wonderful fire going. We went to the... More

If you go down the die of the pub there is a large car park. you then get to walk through the lovely garden before you get into the pub. Everything is clean and fresh. All food is freshly prepared with plenty of choice. The puddings were superb. would definitely visit again when in the area.

Called on speck for Sunday Lunch. We were made to feel welcome and despite being busy they found us a table. The food was great as was the beer. One draw back, the "Special Board" dessert was blackberry and apple crumble - one of my top favourites! After my order was taken it was removed from the board. Judging by... More

Visited with my husband and son as a couldn't be bothered to cook visit. Can honestly say I'm glad I didn't cook! Food was delicious! Service fab. Wish we'd discovered this sooner! Will be coming back without a doubt!

We arrived at the pub, meeting friends for an anniversary meal. We got stuck in the car park in a cloud burst....we made it into the pub soaking wet but then the weather got worse. There was a flash flood and the water started coming through the front door. Soon we were seeing the water rising. The staff set to... More
