Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wonderful food, great staff and a great atmosphere. I opted for a burger and my husband opted for a tray of BBQ pork in different ways. We even ordered sides of beans and mac 'n' cheese, everything was cooked from scratch and tasted amazing, but...we couldn't finish it all...the portions are generous. We travelled for nearly 2 hours to get here and it was well worth it. Even left with some moonshine!More

Excellent food and portion sizes. Friendly and attentive staff. Probably the best bacon you will ever eat. Breakfast filled me up for the day and all washed down with a decent I.P.A

Came here yesterday with my dog was greeted by very friendly staff who couldn’t be more helpful and attentive. Food here is exceptional, fresh and of very good quality…however my personal opinion is they could cut down portion sizes as on the 3 times I...have eaten here I end up making a huge mess in my car because you can’t pick any of the burgers up without them falling apart let alone fit in your mouth without having to deconstruct it, then I end up having to leave 1/3 because it’s too much…this is just my personal opinion as constructive feedback absolutely no reflection of the quality of food or service.More

The food was absolutely stunning, I had the brisket mac and cheese and my partner had the Cow in the Carpet. The brisket was smoked beautifully and just falling apart. The homemade sauces are also a gem, even bought the Carolina Vinegar to take home....An absolute must to visit!More

We have been meaning to try this place for ages, finally got round to it, so glad we did. The coffee was great, food was plentiful and very tasty. I had Cajun Prawns in a baguette, hubby had a burger, it was huge and he...thoroughly enjoyed it, son had a brisket roll (I'm sure there was half a cow in this). None of us had any complaints about the quality of the food, the friendliness of staff or the speed of service. Wonderful, we will return (we aim to work our way through the menu).More

We had brunch here after a lovely walk and were incredibly impressed with the setting, yummy food, and welcoming and attentive staff! I am gluten free and the staff were knowledgable and helpful and made meal adaptions! Food was delicious! The setting is great, and...the little bird feeders meant we got to enjoy watching the birds! Our dog was welcomed as well! What a lovely find! We will be back on our next visit! Thank you!More

Food was outrageously good! We had the bacon baps and cappuccinos along with kids pancakes and juice. Can honestly say it was the best tasting bacon bap I have ever had and the coffee was lovely. All well presented and served up super fast by...the delightful stuff who was friendly and helpful. As someone pretty local to inkies we will be making this a weekly visit!More

Well worth the drive to find this little, secluded spot high on Bodmin Moor for, well yes of course, BBQ! Made such a different experience, loads of good food to choose from, excellent sauces and good drinks, Moonshine too!

Wow what a great experience, after seeing it on the TV me and husband wanted to visit if we were ever in the area. The food and portions were amazing, and the milkshakes were one of the best we have had. The brisket and burgers...are on another level, couldn’t help ourselves and ordered a side order of Mac and cheese wasn’t disappointed but maybe over did it as I couldn’t finish my Philly cheese baguette. Next time we go I’m going on a empty stomach so I can eat everything and more.More
