Is this question rhetorical? Let me assume not and answer it.
Firstly, have you seen the inside and outside the pub, we have close to 200 horse brasses this is historically a miners and hunters pub, without those people this gorgeous pub would not exist, we recognise and are proud of the history of this area.
Secondly, they were the most polite and respectful guests we have had the pleasure of hosting in our 14 month tenure. Not only that they support the pub all year round, by using us as much as possible for non hunt related business aswell as including us in there Carols on horseback route.
Finally in the brief time they used our facilities they spent a considerable amount of money. We are a business, if we choose to decline peoples money we wouldn't be in business that long, would we?
The ban you mention applies to fox hunting, the East Cornwall Hunt operate trail hunting and follow the law. See eastcornwallhunt website for more details.
Let's open the discussion regarding your non continued custom. Upon weighing up the benefits of allowing the Hunt to support us, leaving the pub cleaner than then they arrive every time and dropping a good selection of purple paper with her majesty's face printed upon over the potential of a table of 2 to 4 who appear to love a good moan, I'll choose the hunt....... everytime!
Hope this helps and clarifies the current landlord and landlady's position.
