It is wonderful to have a Café back at this delightful place. Olive & Co serve a good varied menu and are delightful people. You can eat inside or on the outside tables some of which are under a gazebo or you can take away to the lakeside or to the seats by the children’s play area adjacent. I really enjoyed “Vegan Breakfast” - a galette filled with vegan cheese, avocado, red onion, tomato, drizzled with sachan sauce (£7). There’s plenty of more traditional and cheaper items such as a very good BLT. Good Cornish dairy ice creams. Parking is very handy (70p for 2 hours) and there’s a very easy lakeside walk / cycle route.

After a couple of hours touring the coast and another three hours until home we needed to stretch our legs and refuel.
Hubby learnt the difference between a flat white and an americano and had "possibly the best chocolate cake I've ever had". Their Devils Chocolate Cake.
I had a hot chocolate and a slice of their Bakewell Tart.
The place has a good feel to it, being very friendly with fresh made food and cakes.
The only downside are the toilets which you have to turn right out of the cafe and up the side street then through an old door down stone steps and into the rather dodgy looking area where the toilets are. It all looked very much in need of a tidy up and not appealing so we kept our legs crossed for a bit longer. It was too cold to enter what is essentially an outside loo. Maybe the backyard where you can eat (up steps from the loo's) is more appealling and tidier in the summer?
Still a cute cafe with cake and the hot chocolate was drinkable from the start without having to wait 10 minutes for it too cool down.

This gem is on our doorstep so it is something of a guilty pleasure to partake of the victuals on offer. If you are looking for a place to have a walk and food ( or food then walk) then this is the place to go. Olive and Co offer something interesting and tasty for everyone, particularly If you have vegans or veggies in your family. The vegan hot chocolate is sublime and their coffee blend hits the spot. On the eating front you must try the loaded roast new potatoes that are currently in the menu, or the wraps. I haven’t tried the homemade sausage rolls yet but will be giving them a try next time we visit. There is always a scrummy range of home made cakes if you fancy tea/ coffee and cake. The menu varies with the seasons but a scummy plate or bowl of good nosh can always be found. Dogs are very welcome there is always fresh water and often a biscuit for them too. The lake path is level and accessible there is a great play area for children near the cafe. It does cost to park but funds raised help South West Lakes to maintain the lake and its environment.

visited the cafe at Siblyback Lake today, thought the staff were very unfriendly and the shelter they had erected looked like they had thrown it up. Sides not tied properly, wind gushed through and did not seem to put any thought into it.
Found the food very bland and expensive - plain hame and tomato sandwich £5.50, also were not asked if we wanted chocolate on our cappuccino - which we both hate
Bins were overflowing and had not been emptied.

Came for a walk around the lake & to grab some food as had seen on social media. The menu was very interesting & the galettes that we chose were absolutely delicious - I just wish we lived nearer as I would love to work my way through the lot! The doorstop of a bacon sandwich also went down a treat. Round this off with good coffee & probably the best fruit & nut flapjack type thingy I have ever eaten (& an excellent cookie) & we were extremely happy & impressed.
Service was excellent with a smile & a joke.
As for previous seating comments, Covid has thrown a huge curveball at eating establishments, especially one that is indoor space limited & sometimes customers are going to be disappointed. As hard as it is for us it's a 100% harder for businesses so let's try & cut them some slack.
Couldn't recommend more highly.

A warm smile and friendly welcome. Really good coffee. A great range of gluten free and vegan cakes. Best of all…. an utterly delicious breakfast. Every single item on the plate has been slightly tweaked, adding a subtle kick of something delicious. Every breakfast, salad box or burrito is packed with an array of international tastes. This really is modern British cosmopolitan food at its best, in a beautiful location and at a good price, all washed down with an undertone of healthy environmental awareness.
Relaxed and informal. Great for families and something to suit all tastes and diets.

I visited yesterday (Sunday) and was happily surprised at finding this gem of a cafe in such a scenic and spacious place. The coffee was perfect (just the way I like it), and the bacon bap was delicious. The cakes looked very tempting but I finally settled for an ice-cream afterwards instead !! The Manager and Manageress are such lovely friendly people and seem to really care about their customers. I particularly like the fact that there is plenty of space around outside to 'socially distance' from other people. I had taken a fold-up chair with me in the boot of my car so I sat happily away at a safe distance to enjoy my takeaway, view the beautiful lake, the scenery, and watch the world go by 😊 - what can be more perfect than that 😊

We visited today after a friend recommended and after looking at the website and Facebook page we were so excited! We were coming for breakfast but the weather put us off, we are so pleased we didn’t.
Upon arrival of the cafe it looked nothing like the pictures we had seen, we planned to sit inside but upon arrival the smell of fried food and oil hit us and a haze of cooking filled the cafe. We instantly decided we did not want to smell of fried food so decided to sit outside.
We ordered coffee and cakes, the coffee was very disappointing instant brands are nicer. The cakes we had were dry and bland, we are in catering ourselves and would be embarrassed to take ownership to these.
The lady that served us, we think the owner was unfriendly and borderline rude. We felt like an inconvenience.
Such a shame as the location is amazing so I am sure the cafe will do very well but could be such an amazing place with friendly staff, tasty cakes and investing in some good extraction would make it much nicer experience for customers.

Booked breakfast here for myself and friends last Sunday after being it being recommended by the owner of the campsite we were staying at and so pleased we did. The communication over Facebook was brilliant and the great level of customer service from the team continued when we got there - really friendly and efficient! The breakfast was great I had the full Olive which was delicious and the perfect size. I was also really pleased as my vegan and vegetarian friends were so well catered for as well. The whole menu was imaginative and everyone very happy with how delicious their individual meals were. Although I was camping close by at the weekend I don’t live that far away and will definitely be back again.

The absolute beauty of Olive and Co is that it is not just another chain cafe on another high street.
Like many of the best locations in Cornwall, you need to traverse the road less traveled until you crest a gentle hill and there before you is the lovely Siblyback lake.
If you can’t face the rigours of easy country lanes, go to Starbucks 🤮
On any day, but a sunny day in particular, the lake and surrounding, gently rolling hills provide a fantastic backdrop to Olive & Co.
The land is owned by South West water and yes, you pay to park, but charges are fair and help to support this beautiful location.
The cafe serve hot and cold drinks and amazing home made cakes. Savoury food is out of this world. Breakfasts include traditional cooked food with a twist, vegetarian and vegan options, as well as home made cereal.
Lunchtimes, a range of sensational burritos, along with Mexican food, loaded roast potatoes and other specials, grace the menu. Again. Vegetarians and Vegans are catered for.
A separate ice cream booth offers a delicious range of flavours.
Walk around the lake and eat or eat first and walk round the lake. Either way. This is a brilliant way to spend several hours.
Negative reviews of the cafe and the surroundings are patently made by people who are delusional as to what makes for the very best that Cornwall has to offer.
This is a fantastic destination and I have no issue in highly recommending that you visit.

Went for breakfast on Sunday and was very happy to see the majority of the menu was vegan, and although there was a meat and veggie option, I went for a vegan full breakfast (although looked on jealously when a waitress delivered my friend a vegan breakfast burrito).
The staff were all really very friendly and helpful, despite being incredibly busy, and all the food came out in good time.
Well, the vegan breakfast looked great on the menu, and tasted sensational! I can’t recommend it enough.
In fact, so taken was I with this cafe, that I returned with my partner and some friends today for lunch and they were doing burritos! I had a falafel burrito and wish I had enough room to eat another one.
So good.
I’ll be recommending the place to everyone and they’ll be seeing much more of me!
Keep up the good work, Olive & Co. And don’t change a thing!

Olive & Co may have changed location but the food and coffee are as delicious as ever. With its friendly, relaxed atmosphere Olive & Co is still top of my list to visit. Don’t miss out.

On arrival, it was a little unclear on where we should queue for ice cream. There is an ice cream shack outside the cafe and the serving lady was there on approach and then left to go inside cafe. We thought we would need to wait for her to come back but turned out she was helping in cafe so we then had to re-queue (as did the people infront of us) to get someone to come out for ice cream. Not a criticism but perhaps a notice to call in to cafe or something if no one there would be beneficial 😊
Staff friendly and the ice cream was nice, I think it was Roskillys. The tables outside were clean, there was clean and fresh dog water available and the sun was lovely.

We hadn't planned a stop during our walk but ended up with bacon sandwiches (like my gran used to make on thick white bread), tea and "unusual" cakes. They were lush! I can't remember exactly what we had, I think they were nectarine & strawberry crumble and a courgette, lime & raisins with pistachio. Sounds odd but the best cakes we've tried in ages. Not too sweet and good portions - perfect! We will definitely be back. Staff were all lovely too.

We treated ourselves to a warming hot chocolate (some of us had marshmallows and cream too!) to prepare ourselves for our lakeside adventure.
After a delightful walk around the lake a bacon bap was much deserved and enjoyed, followed by one of my favourites, carrot cake. So fresh and bursting with flavour. The best I have ever had!
The staff were exceptionally friendly and the dog was very welcome - he was very partial to the free dog biscuits!
