We went in here a few times during our stay and it was such a lovely, friendly place. We got talking to some lovely locals and the landlord was ever so helpful and friendly. We tried all but one pub in Mevagissey and this was our favourite whilst the ship was our worst experience.

With two bar areas, a small front bar mainly designed around couples and a smugglers bar for slightly larger groups. This place is popular in Feb so I would assume is difficult to get in during summer. The beers are very well kept and the food is quality home cooked, rightly so with a seafood bias. The fish and chips... More

Completely charming place and full of locals which is always a great sign. We had fish and chips and cider next to a roaring fire and it was wonderful. Delicious meal in a cosy pub - what more could you want?

During our stay in Mevagissey (not at The Fountain), we ate and drank at The Fountain on the evenings of 3-4-6-7-8-9 February. The St Austell Tribute bitter was always in excellent shape, as was the perpetually roaring real fire, Lynn and Billie are wonderful hosts, supported by friendly and very obliging staff, customers old and new were incredibly friendly and... Very cozy and snug. Waiters and waitresses are very kind. Had a lovely home made roast dinner. Has a fire in the bar.

After an afternoon watching the international rugby obtain the right result, time to retire to the restaurant upstairs rather than squash in the traditional bar downstairs. Well organised menu gluten free options meat fish and veggies satisfied. Local fish and meat exceptional well cooked by jolly landlord and staff.

Great food in a warm and welcoming environment. the locals are exceptionally friendly, the meals generous and tasty and the firearm and toasty. We liked it so much we went back the next day. Well worth a visit, if only to see the contented cat or drink the local beer.

Came here on New Year's Eve as we were staying local with a large group of family and friends - very welcoming and had a great night.

Real character in this pub, with cheerful fire and friendly folk with good food and range of local beers and cider. Good place to relax over a meal and a pint.

Great Olde world style to this proper Cornish pub. Lovely staff who make you feel like you have know them for years. Been here on two or three occasions while visiting our favourite place (Meva) and the staff have remembered us from before and have welcomed our company and sat drinking with us. Lovely and will be returning in February... More
