Real character in this pub, with cheerful fire and friendly folk with good food and range of local beers and cider. Good place to relax over a meal and a pint.

Great Olde world style to this proper Cornish pub. Lovely staff who make you feel like you have know them for years. Been here on two or three occasions while visiting our favourite place (Meva) and the staff have remembered us from before and have welcomed our company and sat drinking with us. Lovely and will be returning in February... More

Actually, pick the Mike up, I need to say a few words. Visited the Fountain Inn new year's eve 2015. My choice was large fish and chips and 2 pints of Rattler cider. It was the dream ticket, and 12 months later new year's eve 2016, as Brittney said "Oh i did it again". Everything just as it was in... More

Lovely crisp batter, never a soggy chip in sight, fish cooked to perfection! Our guilty pleasure and the place we always take our visitors!

Popped in on a quiet December evening. Lovely meal, Scampi for me & fish stew for my husband. Both very tasty with good sized portions. The homemade pork scratchings on the bar are not to be missed, they were scrummy :) A lovely locals pub with good food and a cosy atmosphere!

Was recommended to come here by the folk at the Wheelhouse - so thank you as we had good food and wine and a cosy fire to keep us warm. If you like seafood then try the crab - wonderful!!

Best fish & chips I have had in a while, nice cosy pub. Evening food served at 6.00pm when we were there

Great atmosphere, lovely staff and food was delicious. Nice and cosy on a wet and drizzly evening and well worth another visit when we are in the area.

Very cosy setting in the bar - fireplace sets the scene as well. We all ordered the cod & chips as we'd been looking forward to that all day. We were not disappointed to say the least. Very good service and delicious food. Cannot fault anything.

Very popular with the locals which is always a good sign. Our meal was lovely, hot and well presented, would definitely recommend this quaint establishment in the heart of the village.
