Love this place. We love walking in the area and stopping in for a drink while the kids play on the equipment. Often had lunch also while stopping in. If youre lucky enough, horse riders also stop in for refreshments. Welcoming, great quality ales and...lovely varied menu.More

Great food, wide choice and good value. Opportunity to pay less and have a smaller portion. Tonight we both had home made quiche with hot new potatoes, salad and coleslaw followed by chocolate oreo sundae and summer berries meringue. Delicious. We ate in the dining...room where no music was playing, A BIG PLUS AS FAR AS WE ARE CONCERNED. Lovely serving staff too.More

Went for a Sunday lunch carvery with no great expectation - carvery in my experience is usually fairly average. Very welcoming pub, nice staff, good range of beers (I’m assuming a free house) and those I had were in excellent condition. First class carvery, beautifully...cooked meats with generous helpings, huge range of excellent veg. Nice cosy pub which hasn’t been made over and ruined. Don’t live in the area but will definitely be back the next time I’m here.More

We popped down the road to this lovely pub in Vogue. Its a really lovely traditional style pub full of character and indeed full of characters all having a fantastic time! We ordered drinks and chilled out chatting and enjoying the place. We will pop...back for food next time as the menu read very well.More

Unpretentious friendly local pub. Welcomes everyone including kids dogs families. Good beer and reasonably priced tasty pub grub. Friendly and attentive staff. Can't wish for more from a village pub.

Booked a Sunday Carvery and had an excellent meal, good choice of meats and ample well cooked vegetable choice. Followed up with a couple of mid-week visits to sample the excellent light bite menu (smaller portion but still excellently cooked and more than adequate in...quantity). All served in a friendly atmosphere by very efficient and friendly people). My only gripe is that I did not find it soonerMore

The staff, service and value for money was great but I had food poisoning from the steak and ale pie. Would absolutely not recommend.

Visited here for the first time for an ale fest and one particular staff member was very rude and was not made to feel welcome, for that reason I would not visit again and definitely not recommend to others!More

Sorry to hear that you didn't feel welcome at the charity ale festival unfortunately as you haven't explained the situation I am unable to tell if this was a member of our regular staff or a volunteer from the event. This event can be quite...More

We rang from the beach at Falmouth and they’ve luckily sourced us a table for 6. Really covid secure and family friendly reception. We had 6 different pub meals (2 kids meals) and they were delicious and fresh. The burgers were ridiculously tasty and the...sundaes were ace. Top service, super cheap and very welcoming. We would eat here again in a heartbeat. Great stuff guys!More
