The Sunday lunch was absolutely excellent, it was faultless the Roast beef was tender and a good portion. Large range of vegetables cooked to perfection especially the roast potatoes. Great value for money

We stayed overnight in our campervan and it was a great pub stopover. The staff were all super friendly, the food was brilliant and the portions ample. I also have it on goid authority that the beer (real ale) was good! I had the Chicken...breast with Brie and my partner had the salmon. Both excellent and good value for money.More
Pub stopover, staff very friendly, had a good quiet night, no rush to leave in the morning. Food good.
Called into The Countryman Inn by chance for a drink whilst walking the tin mines bridle trails. We received such a warm welcome and there was a great atmosphere about the pub that we ended up staying for a Sunday Roast which was the most...delicious and generous pub roast we have ever had. We ordered a beef roast and a lamb roast which were both served very quickly and piping hot. Thank you from June & NigelMore
This is a gem of a pub, few and far between these days, took friends up there for a meal which coincided with the weekly Wednesday folk session, the pub was buzzing. Food was great, massive portions, my friends being vegetarians had mushroom wellington which...they really enjoyed and I had a really well cooked chicken breast stuffed with Camembert which was superb. The pub had three real ales on, one local, Treens which was in super condition. Will certainly go there again, a lot of pubs could learn from this place.More
Wonderful pub with very friendly staff. Very extensive menu with all the favourites. Food was very tasty and the portions aren’t small. Would definitely.
We visited twice during our week break and had dinner and desert both times. The staff were really friendly the food was reasonably priced and everything was home cooked! A proper old school pub which is a rarity nowadays! Recommend booking if you go when...the quiz is on (was on Tuesday when we went) so book in for food and to do the quiz! The locals were nice and friendly too which added to the atmosphere.More
Fantastic food, and really friendly staff. Dog friendly too. Entertainment every night. Great pub when holidaying around Redruth
Rang up on Easter Sunday to see if they could fit us in, didn't expect them to, but probably due to the isolated location, off the tourist track, they could. My wife and I decided to go for the Easter special menu, scampi starter, I...had the lamb roast, my wife had the beef, followed by the apple and salted caramel crumble for me and the chocolate and mini eggs cheesecake for my wife. Scampi was crispy, piping hot and delicious, if I was nailed down for a criticism, it would be that some red onion, couple of strips of red and green pepper with the side salad would take this up another level. Although, that should not detract from how good it was. Onto mains, both the beef and lamb were plentiful and succulent, a wide variety of about 7 veg, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding, beautiful. The deserts completed the meal perfectly, my wife said her cheesecake was possibly the best desert she had ever had. To top all this off, 3 courses for £ 24.95 is a bargain in anyone's book, plus, the wide range of drinks, including one of my all time favourites, Theakston's Old Peculiar on draught. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful evening.More

Lovely warm and welcoming pub. Very quick service and a tasty lunch. My husband found this pub in The Good Beer Guide and said he enjoyed his pint. Easy access from the road and a spacious car park

What a fantastic find this pub is. Popped in for a roast on spec whilst on holiday and stumbled upon a real gem. Really welcoming staff, lovely traditional pub vibe, great food, and literally something different going on each night. Well worth a visit if...your in the area.More
What a great pub on the edge of Cambourne and Carn Brea. Excellent Sunday lunch with lots of fresh and crunchy veg and a lovely gravy. 5 stars for a Sunday lunch is rare in my experience and this was lovely. Really welcoming and accommodating...owners and staff and a decent pint too. Always nice to have a bit of a chat! The full menu looks good and a lot of choice. Will be back to sample againMore
