I absolutly love this place. I tend to eat seafood whenever i eat out but nothing compares to this place. Iv tried a lot of the starters off the menu which are each beyond tasty, especially the pate. And the seafood Linguine main has the...best flavors iv ever eaten packed full of seafood. A two man run show, the owner being very friendly and accommodating and the chef serving up amazing food and making sure all is to your liking. Great cozy spot to eat. Highly recommend.More

Delicious food, great drinks, great atmosphere, great service. We came here for an evening meal having booked from the M5 on our way to our AirBnB and it did not disappoint. Lovely scallops and bravas to start followed by tuscan shrimps and seafood linguine, washed...down with a white rioja. Cornish lime pie and 8Track spiced rum to finish. All fantastic - thoroughly recommended!More

Another fantastic visit. Rich has clearly worked hard to establish The Shellfish Deli as a “must visit” eatery in St Agnes. The menu has been extended since our first visit. It’s great. Tonight we had the crab nachos (again) followed by 2 of the new...dishes - Seafood Linguine and Seafood Thai Red curry. Both of these dishes were outstanding. We ended the meal with Cornish Lime Pie which was yummy. Rich has created a warm and inviting dining experience. Looking forward to our next visit.More

Fabulous seafood place in the centre of the village and offering an excellent choice of shellfish and fish dishes. We stopped for lunch on a wet weekday in half term week in Oct and were met with an excellent menu choice, so much so that...we over ordered as we couldnt decide what to leave out. I had the mackerel pate and monk fish thai curry, my wife started with oysters, the chilli prawns and dressed crab. All the dishes were fantastic and my wife (a seafood expert) said the crab was the best she had ever had. The meal was accompanied by local beer and cider, the staff are friendly and attentive and the decor gives that special beach bar feel. Overall superb and we will be back next time we are in Aggie.More

Stumbled upon this place completely by accident - and what a gem! We had a lovely relaxed lunch on a Saturday after a long coastal walk; crab nachos, mussels in cider & cream, and scallops in garlic butter & pancetta. All delicious, mostly local and...good portions (& thank you for adding the potato salad on the house too). They have loads of great local beers too, wish we were staying longer! We had a really nice chat with the guy in charge and it sounds as if they only took the place over a few months ago - we hope lots more people pop in like we did, because they’re doing great food with warm, friendly service and they deserve success.More

We come to St Agnes regularly to our Cornish bolt hole during the year and have often wondered about the Shellfish Beach Deli (but never tried it). This time we saw a Facebook post from Rich (who took over ownership in August) and we thought...“time to try it out”. So glad we did. Rich was very welcoming and gave us some advice on the menu. Crab Nachos to start, Crevettes, Scallops, Crab Sliders and Potato Salad for mains followed by Cornish Lime Pie. Food was great, service was brilliant- we have definitely found a new place to eat and are looking forward to the next time: Well done everyone in getting this up and running. Wish you every success and we will see you again for sure.More

Warm welcome, lovely front of house. Had crab sub roll. Lovely mix of crab and creme fraiche, however very beige meal. White sub roll crab and crisps. A nice side salad would brighten it up but also make the £12 feel more reasonable. Ate at...a nearby restaurant in the evening and for £3 more had a delicious and filling meal.More

Lovely, relaxed lunch with the family. Kids really enjoyed the crab nachos and the sliders were sublime. Lots of beers to choose from and finished off with a homemade Cornish lime pie. Looking forward to returning very soon to try the dinner specials!

Dropped in when perusing the local cafes and restaurants in St Agnes; very glad we did! Warm welcome from the owner. Good range of local ales and lagers - the Padstow Pilsner was an epic suggestion. We had the prawn sub, nachos and mackerel pate...which were all delicious, and very fresh. Just a chilled and pleasant, easy lunch. Would recommend in a heartbeat…More

After reading several reviews that said great food, visited for dinner which was just a set menu. The starter we had was crab profiterole, which was fair. The main course was fish stew, which I would say was overpriced. A broth with a few noodles,...pieces of salmon & white fish with a couple of pieces of asparagus, & couple of other little things in the stew, it came in a very small bowl with 3 very small pieces of bread. I have had a good few fish Stew's in different places. The service we received was very good. The food I am afraid was not worth the money we paid.More

Go here - it is amazing! We popped in for lunch at this unassuming deli/restaurant, having been drawn in by the menu in the window. I am so glad that we did. The atmosphere is lovely - relaxed, friendly, helpful, welcoming. And the food is...absolutely 5 star. We've travelled a lot and I make a point of trying the fish soup whenever it's on a menu - this was simply the best fish soup I have ever had. We could have stopped there, but there were too any other delicious things on the menu that we wanted to try. So we had the prawn marie rose roll (juicy prawns, fresh salad leaves, tangy sauce) and the mackerel pate (smooth, served with samphire and chunks of soft brown bread). There was a white rioja available which I would have loved to try, but we were driving so had to settle for the cloudy lemonade, which was very good. Such a treat to find first class fish, served simply but beautifully, cooked by someone who really cares and who takes the time to make you feel really welcome, Thank you, Matt. We will be back again very soon.More
