Me and my partner decided to try Austells as it had been recommended to us. And I have to say the food was amazing. Coupled by the exceptional service from the lady at the front of house (unfortunately didn't catch her name), this place really is great. They offer a standard menu a 5 and 7 course tasting menu and... More

Great attention to detail. Emma was fantastic. We got married on the ( 25th October) and they let us have the taster menu for our wedding breakfast at Lunch time (normally this is just an evening menu). The food was amazing. We Could not fault it. There were lots of little touches - the table was done up nicely with... More

Our first time visiting here even though we live very close by. Absolutely beautiful, really lovely evening. Food is exceptional you just cannot fault it at all. The pheasant from the Autumn menu was delicious. Great amount of choice, reasonable priced for a superb meal.

Without doubt the best restaurant in Cornwall and we should know as we have tested it often enough just to make sure, as well as lots of others around the country including 6 Michelin starred UK restaurants! Superb, imaginative, regularly changing and most importantly delicious and perfectly cooked food that is clearly prepared with lots of love and passion by... More

The best tasting food we have ever tasted, fresh warm bread to start, homemade spreads for bread, ridiculously nice starter, main and sides. And the cocktails were amazing too fresh ingredients. Service was absolutely brilliant. We had the most amazing experience at Austells, what they didn't know was that we had just got engaged that day and were there to... More

Hidden in a small row of shops out of town you wouldn't really know this place was there. So glad we found it! The food was excellent, the service was good, some may say slightly over priced but if you appreciate good food, well cooked, it's worth a visit

We booked the 7-course taster menu at Austell‘s and were enchanted by a feast of flavours and beautifully presented delights. It was difficult to choose our favourite course, we enjoyed the cream of pumpkin soup, pan fried cheese with scrumptious pickles, the refreshing fish dishes of crab risotto and smoked salmon nicoise, the rich taste of pork belly and roast... A hidden gem in a parade of shops & restaurants. We both had the seven course tasting menu & wine flight. The food was well executed with all flavours complimenting each other. The only course to disappoint was the crab risotto, which was overpowered by the chilli salsa. The staff were attentive but not intrusive & were happy for us... More

We were recommended to eat at Austells and we're not disappointed. It's not located in the most beautiful of settings however it's great inside and the service you get as soon as you enter is first class. We had the a la carte and everything was just wonderful. Fresh, tasty, well presented and delicious. They clearly work hard here and... More

Great food, great wine, great value! Tasmanian wine expert, David gave diners a tantalising tour of Tamar Ridge wines, whilst Brett provided 5 courses of fabulous food. A Devils Corner sparkling wine was selected to go with a selection of canapés, (including an amazing red mullet tempura) and was followed by goats cheese with a pine nut, basil and potato... More
