Savannah Cafe is tucked away in the back of an arcade off Queen Street in Berry. We almost missed it because its hard to see from the street so I'm glad we stumbled acrost it when looking for lunch on a weekday. Berry has great eateries but I was surprised to find a South African restaurant in such a small... More

We had never tried African food before - we had a shared tasting plate and it was delicious. The service was very good - the owner/chef very friendly. Good space.

Stuck for choice one night as there was a wedding at the pub, and a lot of other places were booked out or didn't suit our taste. Came across Savannah. Loved the food, especially the Port Belly. Service was good too.

Food was served in a timely fashion, warm and fresh. South African owner with his own twist on food.

This place is worth seeking out, as it is a bit hard to find. It is located at the end of a small arcade just off the main street. Service and food was very good. As this is a South African themed cafe I ordered a traditional Bobotie, aromatic Malay lamb mince, served with turmeric rice and salad. When my... More

Another lovely meal at Savanah.......tasty food, friendly staff, and spotless! Do yourself a favour and venture off the busy main drag, down the arcade, for something different.

Usually when I'm in Berry, I do lunch at the Berry Hotel, so I wandered the streets for a while for something different. Many of the cafes on the main street were packed out by 12:30pm on a sunny Saturday, but I'm glad I found this one down a little walkway with a table available. The Mufasa burger (beef &... More

We wanted something different for lunch before heading back home. This popped up on TA and we're so happy to have given this cafe a go. We wanted something with traditional flavors so asked the lady for advice. We ended up ordering the Sosaties (skewered beef) and husband ordered the Boerie roll (boerewors sausage). Both were delicious, the spices that... More
