Special old bar, very friendly staff who were ready to give a free history lesson! The hotel Switzerland is upstairs and the food was great. Can't wait to return

Molly Maguire's had excellent service, a great beer selection, and one of the best shepherd's pies around!

Large letters on the outside of this old building proclaim this as Hotel Switzerland, so maybe it truly was in the coal mining days, now a great gathering place for the locals and a few tourists such as us who wander in. The back bar is a... More

A classic pub with an authentic Irish host, lots of good greasy salty pub fair, as well as salads and desserts.

My wife and I dropped my son off to visit with his friends in the Poconos. We decided to stop by Jim Thorpe since we had never been there. We eat here every time we visit Jim Thorpe. Summer is nice on the covered patio, has a large bar outside in the warm weather too. Inside is much smaller, but cosy and nice when not too busy, or when it's really hot or cold out! Everything we have eaten here has been up to our expectations!

Didn't have the food but the beer selection and staff were top notch. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat and plan to.

Right near the railroad tracks, and not far from the Packer Museum, it is conveniently located. The food is good and reasonably priced.
