I came across this coffee shop from a Google search, it is a very chilled place with a variety of foods and coffee. I rate the latte and iced coffee - and I am from Melbourne so a bit of a coffee snob. Will be back there when I am in the area to pick up some chocolate coated coffee... More

Starbucks is better It's like your worst nightmare of hipsters and old hippies plus the owner acts a bit weird to be customers

Uptown is a place where all the locals go. "Locals only" not necessarily, Peter is the man behind the magic and runs this small town coffee shop. Uptown is not your dunkin donuts, Starbucks or any other lame over priced coffee shop you usually go to. If you're looking for something different with good home cooked meals and good company,... The Uptown is a few doors down from Kutztown University and attracts sleepy college students on their way to class, administrators and professors getting their energy up for the day and, later in the day, seems to always have bicycle riders sitting at the tables out front. There are innumerable coffee selections, freshly squeezed juice, pastries, homemade soups and light... More

The $4 slice of pie was the worst pie I've ever had. The crust was paper thin and nearly non-existant. It was supposed to be mixed berry pie, but the "fruit layer" was a 1/2 inch solid mass of pink mush (I'm thinking they may have used frozen berries - pie sacrilege). Then there was a thick 1 inch hard... More

Uptown has decent process compared to other locations in the area, supports the local student community, and is a good place to just come and relax while you work on school work.

Uptown Espresso Bar is very overpriced for what it offers. The cookie I had was stale and the coffee tasted burnt. This place should rethink its menu and service

Coffee is fresh. Soups are the speciality. A bowl of homemade soup and half of toasted bagel makes a great lunch for $4.50. One of my faves is the Hungarian Mushroom. They usually have a meatless option. Get crowded right at noon, but if you can adjust your lunch hour, you can get a fine lunch for a good price,... More

This coffee shop is buzzing in the morning with a blend of townspeople, college students, professors and truckers passing through. Great casual atmosphere and free wifi. Fresh pressed orange juice every day and great homemade soups and salads. Stop in for a coffee or stay all day, but bring your wit. The conversation can get eclectic.
