We went to this restaurant with high expectations after reading Alton Brown's recommendation and looking at the menu on the website. The restaurant is small, tables are close together, service was slow and the menu had changed. The food was below average and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

A special treat for my birthday! The host couple was friendly and welcoming and waited on us with efficiency. Reminded me of our visit to France, only better, since there was actually walking space between tables and the service was way better. We shared a first plate of delicious homemade burrata with roasted beets. I had the rabbit which was... More

The menu changes based on season and availability, but we found enough that selecting became a question of options, rather than only one choice. My Bibb salad with duck comfit, dried cherries, Asian pears and balsamic was delicious as were my companions' croquette appetizers. The crispy pork entree was a bit greasy, but very flavorful and the apple tartine had... More

Best BYOB restaurant I have been to in a long while. The food is truly refined, exceptionally delicious. The menu changes daily as they source local markets for fresh in season items to prepare. The cod croquettes were exceptional, just like my mother made them and the pressed pork was delicate and flavorful laying on a bed of crisp potatoes... More

Menu options were reasonable but involved a lot of shredded pork which seemed a little greasy. It seems like the publicity we saw which stated the owner is in the kitchen was flat incorrect, as she was not. Maybe energy is going to the new restaurant they opened. A little snooty or insecure with our inquiry about an item/possibilities. I... More

Was here a few years ago and it is still wonderful. Very small and intimate. Very French in a casual style. Blackboard menu of 4-5 entrees. Pressed crispy pork and Fruits de Mer were both very good. Loved the salads. $8 corkage fee is cheap but next time I will bring my own glasses as I do not like stemless... More

I happened upon Maison when invited to a business dinner. I was blown away. Below are key things that I think make this restaurant a must visit: The atmosphere : welcoming, intimate, elegantly casual The food: the seafood was divine. It was prepared uniquely and full of flavor. The same goes for the vegetable selection. Desert: I had a sampling... More

Tonight 3 generations of 5 adults and 2 children celebrated a birthday with a delightful evening and wonderful byob meal at Ma(i)son. It was our first time visiting it. The chefs put together a sumptuous Chefs Tasting menu for our group--I highly recommend it. Two starters of cold wild boar terrine/grilled bread and smoked trout stuffed endive, Lyonnaise salad, two... More

My daughter and son-in-law selected this restaurant in the arts district of Lancaster. A perfect choice! A chalkboard full of really delicious, really inventive food. The portions were well sized and each of us oohed and aahed over their choices and those within fork distance. Can't wait for another opportunity to visit...

To begin, this is a small, cozy place; I'm guessing maybe eight tables total. It has the look and feel of a place that has adult couples, rather than groups or families, in mind. Since we are an adult couple, we liked it from the moment that we entered. The food was unique and very good (trout for her, pork... More
