I'd been to Citron and Rose a couple of times and this was my first time back in its incarnation as C&R. The food was still excellent (I even recognized a few entrees from before), and the service was good. We were there on Father's Day, so the place was packed. They were able to fit us in, but the... Nice dinner and modest wine list. Portions very large and well prepared. Server was attentive and knew the menu. Nice physical space and moderately energetic.

Friends and I visited the C&R Kitchen for New Year's eve because we were looking for a kosher venue and were intrigued by the tasting menu offered. We were, sadly, rather disappointed overall. Three of us had the tasting menu. The celery soup was ok; the beet salad was excellent. For the fish course, the sea bass was good as... More

Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal, except me. My chicken was tough, needed a steak knife to cut it. The restaurant is small and when it became crowded, you felt too close to the other tables. Service was average, server had too many tables. Since I was the only person disatified, I will try them again at a different hour.

This restaurant has now renamed itself CR Kitchen and has reduced the size of the menu (The owners have also opened a kosher dairy restaurant across the street). The food didn't seem to be as good as in the past. My steak was a bit tough. What's still poor is the wine list. It is made up primarily of rather... More

Ten of us there for dinner for celebrating a special birthday. Considering the pricey menu, this would have to have been a special occasion. Adequate parking on a Sunday eve, and restaurant located right next to the Kollel. Reservation honored timely, but seating for 10 was at a long table group with 5 on a side, not ideal for group... It was a pleasure to eat in a kosher restaurant (meat) with excellent food, service and ambience. We were also to get excellent take out salads from The Dairy.

This is a very nice (and very expensive) kosher restaurant. The food is quite good with items you may not find elsewhere. There is also a full bar which is somewhat unusual for a kosher restaurant. I was happy to go there with a group of my non-kosher colleagues and they all seemed to think the food was good. However,... More

We went there during Pesach, as it is one or the only Kosher for Pesach restorant opened in Philadelphia. We knew it is quite expensive, but have great expectations regarding the food they will serve, It was a disaster. The food was quite simple, the portions were small and the price was very very high. Do not go there,

A delightful Kosher restaurant that appeals to anyone interested in fine dining. I have enjoyed the chef's creativity with chickens. They are moist and tasty. Their hamburgers are delicious and broiled to perfection. The desserts are heavenly. Can't go wrong with their halvah ice-cream.
