The diner is 50's style very cute. Very clean and the service was excellent. The bean & ham soup was definitely homemade and delicious. The turkey club was good. The meatloaf was good but the gravy tasted like out of a jar. Interesting side 'potato filling' which is mashed potato and stuffing combined, tasty but salty.

I ate here because it was across the street from my hotel. Bad decision. The floors were dirty, and although they were not busy, there were dirty tables around me the whole time I was there. Food was mediocre at base.

My apologies. We were hit with a spring snow storm that dropped 30 inches of snow, so it is impossible to keep the floors as clean as we would like with all of the salt and ashes that are down. Also, we were very busy on the day of your visit with 2 buses that were unexpected. The staff made... More

This was just opposite our hotel and it was a cold night so seemed like the easy way out. My husband had fried fish and he said the coating/breading on it was so tough he had to take it off. I had a turkey plate and had to ask for cranberry sauce and the stuffing was different. Good diner music

My apologies. To be clear though, it is "filling" not "stuffing" and is listed like this on the menu. Filling is a PA Dutch (German) dish that has potato as the base, as opposed to stuffing that has bread as the base. Had you talked with your server, she would have happily exchanged it for a different side dish that... More

Due to horrible weather on the interstate, we were forced to exit and find a hotel. Fortunately for us, we found a Hampton Inn, and across the street was "The Diner." I ordered the "Rachael," which was a huge sandwich filled with REAL sliced turkey and cheese, and a side of slaw (which could have gone on the sandwich if... More

Traveling south on Interstate 81 Pine Grove is about 90 miles from our home. We usually stop at McDonald's for a break and snack. When passing through a few days ago we were on the way home and looking for a place to eat Real Food. As many times as we got off the Pine Grove exit we never knew... More

Unfortunately Orlando Neil's was closed the night we stayed, however we were not disappointed with the diner. The rubber sandwich is huge, for me and the burger wrap was a lighter meal only cooked a little longer than the medium rare that it should have been. Didn't get to try a cookie, but they were homemade and huge at only... More

Clients were even welcoming to each other and I had a large portion of a cob salad which I did not expect and my husband had a soup which was unbelievable so filling with a grilled cheese. Very good and reasonable price.

There aren't a lot of restaurants in the area. We chose the Diner because they usually have a lot of choices. We always have a difficult time eating out on the road because we don't eat meat. The food is just ok. Our server was pleasant and attentive.

We had been here previously and loved it, so when we came back to town we thought we'd like to try it again. We were not disappointed. Their meatloaf is homemade and excellent., and came with two sides and a fresh, crisp garden salad. Their veggie omelet was chock full of onion, tomato, pepper, etc. and was delicious. The waitress... More
