We've visited here about 6 times in the past year both with family and friends. The food is always excellent quality, well prepared and reasonably priced. Today was no exception. If you enjoy eating in a historic atmosphere on white tablecloths, you can't beat the Piper.

Once again my husband brought me to the Piper Tavern for a special meal. My birthday dinner this week was superb. The dining room is peaceful and well decorated and spotless housekeeping makes it very welcoming. Our server Willow was personable and professional. I always order the smoked trout and salmon appetizer. It was delicious and presented beautifully. My entree... More

Stopped by for Sunday lunch. Should have known better after seeing so few cars parked outside. Ordered drinks. Took two sips of a Bloody Mary that tasted only of horseradish. Asked if it could be made without the horseradish. No. Asked for a G&T, which tasted great. Ordered Duck Trap River Smoked Trout & Salmon Combo to share. Fish was... More

While meandering throughout beautiful Bucks County, my husband decided to surprise me with a revisit to one of my favorite restaurants, the Piper Tavern. The only problem was that there were so many yummy selections it was hard to make a decision. The wine list is also terrific. Needless to say we had a delightful meal in a charming historic... More

How do you get people to a countryside tavern for lunch. You offer 75 cent vodka martinis. After a morning of shopping we stopped for a late lunch. There were three of us, all ordering the crab cake sandwiches. They ran $10.95 and came with French fries, Lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce. The crab cake was fine. It wasn't the... More

Food was great. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of regulars at the bar, but they all made you feel welcome. Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely outstanding! The Piper Tavern was recommended to my wife and I by the proprietors of the charming Frog Hollow B&B located a few miles away where we're staying. We went and were rewarded with a fantastic dinner in a great atmosphere. While waiting at the bar for our table, the Moscow Mules were perfectly mixed while my wife enjoyed... More

Piper tavern offers quality food for moderate prices in a place that transports you to colonial times. There's something for everyone on the menu. We started with Patagonian sea scallops, smaller but tastier than those usually fished in the north Atlantic. My wife had onion soup, very delicious though the onion should have caramelized, or at least that's how she... More

This lunch turned into an endurance trial. It's still not over as we're waiting for the coffee we ordered 20 minutes ago. Usually this is a great place. Today I ordered the snapper soup (one of the best around) and an open face turkey sandwich. My wife got the sandwich and soup special. My soup came right away and was... More

A fave! Diverse menu with plenty of options; whether you're looking for a small bite or a multi-course meal, the PT has got you covered. The PT consistently serves up some of the best cocktails in the area. You can't go wrong at the Piper Tavern.
