From the bright and open interior, to the knowledgeable waiter, to the modern Italian comfort cuisine, Piccolo Forno is right on target. I came early in the evening with my teenage daughter - both vegetarians, both hungry. We shared a marguerita pizza with arugula and...More

My daughter recommended we go to Piccolo Forno for authentic European wood fired pizza and it did not disappoint. The pizza was cooked to perfection and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Definitely the best thin crust pizza in Pittsburgh

While visiting Pittsburgh for orientation at Pitt, my son and I decided to go to Little Italy for dinner. We couldn't have selected a better restaurant than Piccolo Forno. From the Panzanella salad to the Quattro Stagioni and Mortadella E Pistachio wood-fired pizzas to the...More

The food at Piccolo Forno has always been excellent. The pasta is wonderful, as are the salads and pizzas. We've been back several times and are always happy with our meals. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations, which means waiting around for your table if you...More

This small BYOB Italian restaurant had great service and wonderful thin crust pizza made in a wood burning oven. They readily made a special pizza without cheese that was on the menu. All of the food was delicious.

If you want Italian food with a yuppy flair, then this is your place. The food is not what I would call authentic, but rather "sophisticated." We all know the translation of sophisticated - unusual ingredients for know dishes coupled with small portions and increased...More

This lasagna is my LAST MEAL if I'm ever on death row! It's a BYOB with a corking fee. We love it! Every time we are in town I'm super disappointed if we don't have dinner here. I really want to give a bad review...More
