Great Cajun style cuisine in the North. Loved the Cajun Catfish with collard greens. They make some of the dishes gluten free, which is a plus! Make reservations, this place can get packed!

We heard good things from friends about the dinner, so read about a brunch deal and decided to give it a try. We actually ordered Brunch Jambalaya. It came in a 6-7" cast iron pan and had a smallish portion. It had two shrimp, sausage, uniform cubes of potatoes, an over easy egg mine had a hardened yolk; my husband's... More

My husband and I were in town on business. This was our first time visiting Pittsburgh. We were told we should try NOLA. I am so glad we did. It was wonderful! We enjoyed a fantastic lunch. Gator, fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, NOLA salad, NOLA club, beignets, praline cheesecake, and the best sweet tea. (It was Valentine's Day... More

My wife and I stopped in for a few drinks Saturday, Feb 4. We heard that NOLA has live music on Saturday nights and wanted to check it out. The music was great. The bar was not overly crowded, even with the band playing. The drinks were well made, but the service was slow.

Had an excellent meal here. Great and attentive staff, beautiful food and a small but well ranged wine list. Alligator was excellent, steak very well cooked, catfish best ever. Meal was superb. No room for dessert. Highly recommended and worthy of its Zagat rating.

Visited here for the first time for a friend's birthday. It was a very busy Saturday night. We made a reservation, but they were not ready for us, and the hostess covered a round of drinks for us. So far, impressed. The place is pretty big with lots of seating options. We ordered the cheese plate and alligator appetizer, both... More

This place has a great menu and a great menu. I highly recommend coming here. I'm very hard to please when it comes to Cajun cooking so I am extra impressed that they could blow me away. If you like good ingredients and this is the place for you.

Have been to NOLA several times, and always lean towards the Cajun cuisine (especially love their Cajun martini, jambalaya, shrimp and grits, and crawfish mac daddy - add bacon!). Admittedly, all very spicy dishes, but that's what I like. Have live entertainment most nights (usually small jazz/blues combos), which adds to the fun vibe. Prices are in line with other... More

From the minute we were seated, this place had a strange feel. The interior was underwhelming and gives the impression of not being very new or clean. The noise level was much higher than I would have expected from a nicer restaurant. The menu suffers from downtown pricing without downtown quality or interest. It reminded me of how Olive Garden... That was unexpected. I thought NOLA stands for New Orleans Louisana and was confused. Last time I checked I was in Pittsburgh , East Coast. The place would seemlessly fit on Bourbon street in New Orleans ! Food was great , too. I tried a couple of daily specials and they were all excellent seafood items at a very reasonable... More
