Very good experience at this neighborhood Italian restaurant. The chicken vegetable soup with dumpling, was outstanding. The homemade ricotta noodles was a superior pasta dish. The chicken Romana was tasty and not over-breaded. I am not a tiramisu fan, but my wife is and she gave this homemade recipe a thumbs up. Advice: Give Zara's a try.

Zarra's is a family-owned restaurant off the beaten path. We have been there many times because their food is the only thing that comes close to my late grandmother's culinary delights! This is true, authentic Italian food and it is delicious! The tomato sauce is never sweet or acidic (my biggest complaint with sauces at any other place), just smooth... More

My family and I ate at Zarras for the first time last night. The food was AMAZING...fresh, home-made and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is quirky, but very comfortable and cozy. My sister mentioned this morning that from the moment we were seated it just felt like it was going to be a great meal and we were not disappointed. The... More

Awesome meal!! Donnie was friendly and Jane his wife was the cook. Family owned and pasta and meatballs was delicious. We just came back from Italy and this was authentic and reasonable. A go to spot.

I love this place: great food, awesome setting (you wouldn't believe some of the pieces there!), and lovely people, specially Chelsey, the waitress who was attentive and sweet. Oh and try the cheesecake, it's that good.

I love this place. I came my first time years ago and raved to everyone about it. The ricotta noodles, to die for. And Judy's sauce, forget about it! Best red sauce of my life. I'm not a traveler, I live in the city and I'm here ALL the time.

My wife and I went here the day after Christmas. We has tried all of the usual places but they were closed. Found Zara's opens and decided to try it. The decor was really cool and different. The food was awesome! Hot stuffed peppers bring me home and the manicotti was wonderful. My wife had the tour of Italy and... More

Two of us went for Dinner since it is right across from the Residence Inn. It was the most horrible experience. The place looked spooky when we entered. There was only one person in the bar and he was on his way out. The restaurant area was totally empty. I think it seats about 100. We should have just turned... More

I am a vegetarian and often find myself eating Italian food at many restaurants as an only option. In all of the restaurants I have been to in the states, both Italian and not, Zarra's offered the best food I've had. One could taste the tomato in the sauces, the eggplant was fork tender, not greasy, and tasted like eggplant,... More

Homey atmosphere and very friendly and accommodating staff. Their olive oil - herb mixture for bread dipping was notably good (unfortunately, the bread itself was not). Their Tirmisu was also a stand-out. The rest of our meal was fine - but not "special" I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood - but I wouldn't go out... More
