I like the medieval decor and atmosphere of this venue. The food and service have on several visits were fine. The last trip was fine until the dessert phase when the owner was seated At a nearby table. Things then fell apart as the staff came to greet the owner. Everything else' was ignored and our experience suffered considerably. I'd... More

... the baked French Onion Soup, for example). Stokesay has passed through a number of jurisdictions since I first encountered it. It's a convincingly authentic English country manor, offering wonderful bits of ambience, along with bill of fare priced to send you to the nearest diner. But when we want (in a Jonesing sort of way) baked French Onion Soup,... More

I took my boyfriend for his birthday to Stokesay. The restaurant and the grounds were beautifully decorated for the Holiday season. Our server Deidre was very attentive but not overbearing. Everything we had from appetizers to desserts was fabulous. We will definitely return!

Was overpriced and the service wasn't good considering that it was early and not crowded. Menu wasn't that impressive, and expensive for what it was. Drinks were way overpriced!

Stokesay changed their Knights Pub menu a couple months ago and drastically raised their food prices. The prices were already a little above average for Berks county but the new prices are just too much for the product you get. I personally don't mind spending a decent amount of money on a good meal but that isn't the case here.... More

Had dinner here as it was rated TripAdvisor #2 in Reading, PA. we were not disappointed. The castle itself is off the beaten track and absolutely worth seeing in its own right. It's a real castle in Reading, PA (?!) The food and service were excellent and, overall, just a unique dining experience. If you visit Reading, make time to... More

food was under cooked, filet mignon was served raw and bleeding on guests plates, risotto was under cooked and so were the carrots. several of the children that attended had to wait until meals were prepared for them, because they didn't prepare all 11 that were ordered.
