We heard about the Olde New York from a colleague and decided to try it. I was happy to see that the German brots and other meats are made in house. Our food was great and it was a nice portion. It seems to be a popular place for locals too.

Enjoyed the sandwiches, nice to sit by a warm fire (even if it is gas) on a cold day, great service, very attentive, large portions. Try the fish taco wrap with the potato salad.

Olde New York offers a casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. While large and despite having a bar you can hear well and have a conversation. It's the only restaurant I have ever visited that has gluten-free buns that taste just like, and are prepared in the same way as, a regular bun. They must put the bun on... More

Good sandwiches after a day of strolling State College and sipping a few beers. We enjoyed the onion soup and reuben.

If your a local, then you know the story behind this restaurant. The owners had a German restaurant located in Bellefonte PA that was destroyed by a fire. While attending Penn State University I would travel to Bellefonte on the weekends for a beer and some grub at their old restaurant. I had the Broadway while I was at Olde... More

Whether, I'm stopping in for an after-work beer, taking a kid there for an afternoon lunch, dining with the whole family, this place is consistently a place we consider when we think of dining out. Great food and service. Always a very nice selection of German beers. The Oktoberfest feature entrees like Schlacteplatte or schweinshaxe are something I look forward... More

The food seemed to be mostly German and what we had was very good. They had a good selection of beers which were enjoyed by all. The only negative was the noise level. The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was casual.

The Cuban was massive and full of flavor. The Reuben fries are wild but delicious. One of my favorite stops in State College. Service is always attentive and friendly.
