Came from out of town on Friday night. Place was quite busy. Very nice inside, waitress was great. Spouse got stuffed shrimp, not bad, not superior - presentation was nice. I ordered the 6 oz filet and was very disappointed - a filet should be 2+ in thick, for 6 oz versions they should simply be smaller in diameter. My... More

Rob and I were on a getaway in Lancaster, Pa celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Our friends who live in Lancaster, Pa. who were going to be accompanying us to our celebration dinner suggested that we dine at the "Fireside Tavern" in Strasburg, Pa which was approximately 2 miles from the Fulton Steamboat Inn where we were staying. It also... More

A great location overlooking the Lancaster County countryside, a charming building, comfortable seating, excellent service (Shelby saved this review). A "brilliant" and abundant bowl of P.E.I mussels which were, some of the best tasting we have had, from Quebec to Victoria to Wales. They were fresh and in a delicious broth of simmered onions, peppers, grape tomatoes and a seafood... More

I work nearby and eat at the Fireside Tavern a few times a year. The food is good, the place is cozy and the service is always good. It's not a 5-star restaurant but it is reliable and a good value. I would definitely recommend.

We went to the Fireside for our anniversary and as usual the food was very good, the only issue we had was, we sat at the table for the longest time before a waitress even acknowledged we were even there. Have never had a bad meal here, just make sure you have reservations especially since they are building a new... More

We look for a restaurant to celebrate our anniversary each year. This year we chose the Fireside Tavern and we were very pleased. We made reservations for 8 p.m. on a chilly Saturday night and we requested a table near a fireplace. We were greeted with a smile and seated upon arrival, directly in front of a fireplace. Although it... More

We were staying at the Clarion next to the tavern. We had an early dinner and it wasn't crowded. We had a wonderful table in front of the working fireplace. So cozy on a February evening! They offer some entries at half portions which are just right. All portions include salad and rolls. Our waitress, Rachel, was attentive. All in... More

We had our valetines dinner at Fireside. We had the brie and crab as our appetizer which was great. Our crab cakes and filet was excellent. Our server was very sweet and on the ball. The place got busy fast so reservations are recommended

We had a reservation and was glad when we saw the number of people waiting to get a table. Nice atmosphere and very good service. I had the Cajun catfish, single serving. Was a nice sized portion plenty enough. Spicy and very tasty. Appetizer was crab stuffed mushrooms. Again very tasty. My wife had the crab cakes and enjoyed them... More

We ate here on the recommendation of our innkeeper, and were glad we did. I'm not normally a big fan of shepherd's pie but it came highly recommended so I gave it a try, and boy was it good. They use tenderloin in their recipe, so it was more like beef bourgignon topped with crazy good mashed potatoes. They offer... More
