This place is definitely worth a stop. If you like hotdogs this is the best place around. They do not take credit cards cash only. The restaurant has been around since 1940 it was part of the farm still located there. I just like a good hot dog with sauerkraut.

To start these dogs are more of a German knock wurst, only about 4 inches long and very fat, they are served on a little soft dinner roll. I got mine with chili and cheese sauce, the chili is a meaty tomato chili with beans, very different from what I'm used to but still good. Didn't have room for their... More

eh....it had good reviews, and there wasn't much else in the area, so I stopped by. First, it was packed, so there wasn't much parking. Inside, it was a bit chaotic, with people who already ordered just standing in the "lobby" blocking everything up. I ordered a chili cheese dog and some onion rings. The food actually came out pretty... More

Been enjoy Jimmy John's sandwiches since the 60's, when the original "Jimmy" & his wife worked the flat top grill. In his 90's he sold the hotdog stand to a long-term emp. named Roger who cooks all day with his own son now. The breakfast sandwiches are just great, served anytime. The hotdogs come with or without a natural casing... More

I don't get it, and I never did. I've tried to like these hot dogs. I've really tried. I've dressed them up every way I can. But I just think they're the worst. It's amazing because so many have raved about them. The problem is this: They're almost impossible to chew. The skin is so tough, you almost have to... More

Having frequented this place for nearly two decades, they continue to serve up quality food at reasonable prices in a great old-fashioned family atmosphere -- and of course, the model trains!

Whenever we visit PA, we MUST visit Jimmy Johns! I am a bit of a fitness nut and typically eat a healthy diet--mostly veggies and salads--but not when I visit Jimmy's. The food here is out of this world--their hot dogs are the best ever. We always buy a 5 lb box to take back with us to MA. I... More

Happened to be in the area on Friday at lunchtime. I walked in and was waited on immediately, hot dog was 1.80. Still delicious, I put fried onions and kraut on it this time as I was driving and eating - couldn't risk spilling mustard. I LOVE Jimmy John's hot dogs, best ever. They serve hamburgers, but you can get... More

Been going since my oldest (45) was little. Great good fun trains for all the kids large and small. Only been 2 owners and it's mostly the same. Had a awful fire and rebuilt and still a great family place.

The history behind JJ's is worth the visit. I can remember going there as a child and enjoyed taking my children and friends new to area there as well. Not the healthiest of options but the splurge was always fun and loved the tradition of the joint.
