Great seafood! Love the view of the harbor during the meal. Most of the time this is a great very casual place to eat, along with take out if you prefer to eat on the beach in front. We have been there several times when familes refuse to pay attention to their kids, letting them crawl on floor under tables,... More

This is my favorite place to grab an incredibly fresh seafood meal, a cold drink and take in all the sights the Galilee has to offer. The food is simply outstanding and there are so many things to choose from. The bartender always has a great recommendation for a specialty drink to boot. A great place.

We stopped at Champlin's after getting off the ferry from Block Island. We figured that any place located right on the harbor with fishing boats being unloaded with their catch just outside the door would have to have fresh seafood - and they did! The restaurant is nothing fancy. You place your order at the counter, find a seat, and... More

If you want fresh, fresh, fresh seafood then Champlin's is the place to go in Rhode Island. We live in Ohio, however, whenever we are in Rhode Island or Connecticut we will go out of our way to dine at Champlin's. My favorite is the Rhode Island clear chowder and clam cakes. It's my favorite or all favorite's.

The recipe for success is simple - catch fish, cook fish, serve fish - the fewer steps the better. This is a fish place. So keeping that in mind, please make sure to order simple preparations. The only time I've been disappointed is when I tried to order something "adventurous". In her review Ann S says she is disappointed by... More

While "touristing" east to Newport RI, we took a wrong turn in Narragansett and arrived at Point Judith Ferry in Galilee RI. by mistake. What a great fortune of luck! This area is fabulous! Restaurants, commercial fishing boats, sea views, and fun. After talking with several "locals", we were directed to Champlin's Seafood Deck. It's like a place Guy Fieri... More

I was so excited to eat here. I have fond memories of eating here several years ago with friends, so I was expecting to be wowed. I was not. The fish tacos (special of the day) were quite ho-hum- just a bit of fish on a soggy tortilla with shredded lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes. No cilantro, no sauce-- quite blah.... More
