Stop here! If you are not extremely hungry, get their Caesar or Oyster salad. BUT if you get nothing else.....get the sauteed vegetables! Now that was delicious.

We had a delightful meal in this little upscale restaurant. The place is quaint and romantic. The food was cooked to perfection and there were a variety of menu items even for the picky eater. You need to make your reservations in advance.

We visit Charleston 5-6 times a year and this was our first time at Cru. WHAT A MEAL! It was packed when we go there for lunch but the manager of the Indigo Inn took care of us and got us in. We had a magnificent meal! The roasted tomato and pepper soup alone was worth the price. The Brisket... More

After enjoying a carriage ride through the streets of Charleston, our next delight was eating at Cru Cafe. Hidden away in a small house, it proved to be the place where I had the best sweet potato soup ever! If you are just in the mood for a sandwich, there are delicious choices with amazing flavors which compliment each other... More

This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide and proved to be outstanding in every respect. Cozy ambiance with a nice Street view when sitting on the porch. Awesome chicken panini sandwich for lunch

Absolutely my favorite place to eat so far. Quaint setting, killer service and the most amazing food. Ordered a cup of sweet potato bisque and the short rib panini. O.M.G. gooooood! This is a must visit on your list.

I have never sat at a chef's table and this was a marvelous first experience. The café is small, intimate and has a nice ambiance without loud noises or music. Buttermilk fried oysters were perfection plus fried green tomatoes, the best I've ever eaten and I am quite a connoisseur.… That is, of a fried green tomatoes! I hoped to... More

With so many restaurants to choose from Cru Cafe is certainly a good choice. Reservations are strongly suggested as this is a small venue. Our 7:30 midweek reservation was honored promptly and we were greeted by Carrie, our server, who was friendly, engaging and professional. She did provide several specials but we settled on two regular menu items, the duck... More
