Enjoyed lunch with family. Very friendly, lots of history on the walls of famous people who also enjoyed the cuisine. A must when you visit the historic city.

We have been going to Hyman's for decades and they are always great, but this time they our did themselves. The fish was fresh and perfectly prepared, the calamari was perfect (not overdone or under cooked) and the shrimp and grits was a delight. They...More

We went upstairs to eat. Was very crowded and noisy but that is part of the experience and ambiance. Food wonderful, old Charleston cooking. Succulant seafood.Waitstaff rushed but on the spot.have been several times and will continue to go. A staple in Charleston.

Went back to Hyman's for Restaurant Week and enjoyed it like I do every time! Eli came to the table to welcome us back and chatted for a few minutes. The flounder is always the best dish on the menu. I'd recommend it every time!

Atmosphere is fun (the Beachboys ate at our table). Had lunch here twice, just couldn't resist it. Shrimp and grits and po boy were so tasty, as were the Hush Puppies.

I really wanted to love Hyman's but it just wasn't great. The food was good and the service was excellent but I left feeling that I paid a lot for an adequate meal. I also found the exit through the gift shop to be tacky...More

The food was fantastic and plentiful. A half a dozen crab clusters that were loaded with meat; and there were nearly 30 mussels in my dinner selection. Be sure to sample the hush puppies.

Our last night in Charleston, we ate at Hyman's Seafood. My husband thought the oysters didn't have much taste, but he got what he paid for. The fried oysters were better than most one can find in other cities, but they weren't fabulous, what we...More

There is always a wait to dine here. But, fortunately it goes by quickly. There is a cool bar to wait, and fun inspirational cards to entertain everyone in your party!
