Nice rest. right in the heart of the historic district of Charleston. Can wear casual but nice clothes - not a shorts and T shirt place. Prices a little higher than others in the historic district but not bad for fine dining. And, it is fine dining. My steak was cooked perfectly. Staff friendly but professional. Sorbet for dessert was... More

My husband and I met for lunch and had a wonderful time. The Salmon was great! It was on the cedar plank and you could smell the cedar!

What more can be said? The food was excellent and the prices reasonable given the quality and location. Our server, Katherine, was wonderful. She was very efficient and very friendly. We had the Salmon special and the fillet beef - excellent. Another dish not to miss is the apple pie bread pudding for dessert...tremendous. There is complimentary parking next door... More

My husband and I visited Magnolias for dinner recently and really enjoyed everything. Our waitress, Kathryn, was so nice too. We started with the fried green tomatoes and tomato bisque -- both great. My husband got the catch of the day which was flounder and he was really happy with it. I just had a few sides -- the mac... More

Probably shouldn't have had our first dinner in Charleston at Magnolia's, since nothing during the rest of our weekend beat it even though we had some very nice meals. Highly recommended, but make it your last meal in town rather than your first!

We visited Magnolias on a weekend trip and it did not disappoint. We tried the signature fried chicken and shrimp and grits as well as the pimento cheese for appetizer. Everything was incredibly delicious and the service outstanding. We can't wait to return and try a fresh fish dish and dessert next time around.

My wife and I had dinner at Magnolias on a Thursday night. The restaurant was busy, but surprisingly quiet. We could have a conversation at normal speech levels! We had the fried green tomatoes, shellfish and grits and the brownie with ice cream for dessert. The appetizer was crispy, tangy and just a hint of sweet. The grits were the... More
