From start to finish...excellent to the last bite! Greeted warmly, led right to our table. Promptly approached by our waiter, Chip, who immediately made us feel welcome and relaxed while sharing his recommendations about the menu. Great flavor combinations and precise cooking made the dinner shine! Striped bass with morel mushrooms over Israelie cous cous was perfect... The crisp skin... More

I had the opportunity to attend a 9 course dinner with wines as part of a group of longtime friends and could not have had a more wonderful time. The evening was a journey through the exotic and the familiar with twists and turns of in-betweens. Babaganoush (sp) was the starter and ended up being the word of the night... More

This is best described as calm and enjoyable. Now to the food. From any seafood dish, especially scallops and she crab soup, you cannot go wrong. Yes it is upscale but worth every penny. For lunch if you are not in the mood for seafood the hamburger is sensational. Dinner, well there are so many choices. The lamb melts in... More

The food is fabulous and the atmosphere is lush and inviting. The night we were there they had live music which added to the already romantic atmosphere. The waitstaff is attentive and polite. The menu is split into four sections: cosmopolitan (exotic), Southern (regional favorites), pure (light ingredients) and lush (French extravagance). We had the collection of vegetables on lemon-pea... More

I live in Charleston and this is by far my favorite upscale restaurant. Sometimes you get what you pay for! Don't forget the coconut cake that they are do well known for. Never disappoints!

My wife and I dined at the Grill for an anniversary. An absolute treat including the music, service and food. When I made the reservation, I was asked if this was a special occasion--they want to know. We were seated promptly with a view of the restaurant and the jazz band both of which added to the experience. Of course,... More

I don't like to write or read long drawn out reviews so I'll keep this brief. If you want the best in dining in Charleston just go. Imaginative menu, terrific service, lovely atmosphere and amazing wine list. You will not be disappointed and save room for dessert!

I truly enjoy a good restaurant experience and I can't say that I've EVER had better! On our last night in Charleston, we decided to treat ourselves and came to the Charleston Grill. Wow! I'm so glad we did. We were treated like royalty. Live music by talented locals (guitar and violin), 18 year old single malt scotch, absolutely delicious... More

My husband and I had a date night here while on a vacation with our kids in IOP. Everything was fabulous...service, food, romantic booth and wine. We felt very pampered and special to the staff. Not to mention...stuffed with the finest. We will be back!
