Took my daughter and a friend to High Cotton for brunch and had a great meal. The restaurant is beautifully appointed and the jazz band is nice; not loud nor disturbing. We enjoyed a sparkling wine special; you get a bottle with three different nectars to mix with it. Really good idea. I had the crab cake benedict which was... More

This restaurant is timeless. Looks the same as it did years ago but not worn or outdated at all. Great food, drinks and impeccable service. Lovely meal.

While In Charleston, we went to High Cotton for a Saturday brunch. As soon as you walk in the door, the Historic charm welcomes you to experience Charleston like I imagine it was 100 years ago. Not only is this place charming, the food is excellent, and the wait staff is very attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant as... More

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at High Cotton. My salad was incredible, the local pear and beet salad! And the Shrimp and Grits was delectable, lots of shrimp and sausage, a delicious addition. We finished with the praline souffle, worth every calorie! Great service and great food!

We have eaten at High Cotton several times (brunch and dinner) and have never had a bad experience. That is why we were so disappointed with our Brunch this past Sunday. The service was great - - but the kitchen was having a really really bad day. My wife's crab cakes were burnt and dry, and her "soft boiled" eggs... More

We spent four days eating our way through some of the best restaurants in Charleston and we thought High Cotton was the best dining experience. The atmosphere is old Charleston elegant, but not stuffy at all. The wait staff is dressed so such that you know your night will be special. Live jazz from the bar area is piped into... More

We had the tomato appetizer was excellent. Both main courses of the sword fish over collards and tile fish were also excellent. The service provided by Melissa was excellent. We would have rated this a 5 but for the dessert, which was average.

More formal atmosphere than some of the other restaurants we have visited in the area. Food was good but not spectacular. Live music was nice.

Highly recommend the heirloom tomato salad ... so so fresh and tasty! The shrimp and grits were also amazing ... HUGE portion, perfectly spicy ... just yum! All paired perfectly with a fantastic bottle of rose'! A bit pricey but a great choice for a date night or special occasion!

We stopped at High Cotton for a Sunday brunch. Everything we had was excellent. They had live music playing, the service was excellent, and the food even better. The two of us split some of the She-Crab Soup (a staple in Charleston) which was excellent. We then ordered our meals and got the Crab Cake Benedict and the Shrimp and... More
