In town for a Gamecocks game and decided to try this place with an odd name. Barrel fish was outstanding as was the duck. My steak and cream spinach was also wonderful. Sure glad we tried it

Had children coming from out of town so we went here for brunch. They were out of all but two of the breakfast specials. The bread pudding with blueberry sauce was ok, but not what I would have preferred. Decided to give dinner a try...More

I love that this restaurant is locally sourced and the chef changes the menu daily. They lost a star because- though they always have a vegetarian option- it’s usually only one (outside of their starter salads), and often seems to be eggplant whenever I’m there....More

Food quality, excellent, service excellent, a little pricey. Great place to take a date. They have been around a good many years, so that should tell you it must be good.

Never disappointed in the Sunday Brunch menu at Motor Supply. Today, I had Fish & Grits - pan sautéed trout and delish, perfectly prepared yellow Grits. Oh....also a great, fresh Bloody Mary was a part of my meal.

I would say that it really isn't all that kid friendly...not that they wouldn't allow kids it's just more of an adult place to be honest.

Located in the historic Congaree Vista with a heated patio and free valet parking, Motor Supply has been serving progressive, New World cuisine using classic French culinary techniques for over 20 years. Led by Executive Chef Wesley Fulmer, the kitchen's lunch, dinner and brunch handwritten menus change daily, featuring contemporary New American cuisine, with nods to Creole, Cajun, New Southern, French, Italian and Asian cuisine. We are Columbia's foremost "farm to fork" restaurant, working with local, sustainable farms for produce, meats, SC seafood and more. Seafood is caught off of the Carolina coast, and all of our stocks, sauces and desserts are made on site, including our charcuterie, with house-made sausages, bacon, country pate, and rillettes, all the way down to the pickles and mustard. Our early 19th century, solid-oak bar with marble columns, imported from Europe, serves 180+ fine wines (Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, 2006-12), an extensive list of imported, domestic and local craft beers, as well as an artisan farm-to-shaker cocktail list made from house-infused liquors, handmade bitters, barrel-aged spirits and locally-sourced ingredients and garnishes.
