The lunch menu was not really my style of options. I ended up with a salad, and it was very good. Service could have been a bit better, but it wasn't bad.

There are a plethora of choices to dine on Gervais when in SC. This is a true gem. It is very popular and can be a tough seat. Food and presentation is great. Skip the loud and noisy and enjoy the fine dining here.

We were in town for the Masters golf tournament, and went to Motor Supply based on a recommendation from the staff at our hotel. We weren't disappointed. The menu changes everyday and is hand written. We started off with smoke salmon salads. I had sheepshead fish and my husband had a steak. Everything was delicious. Portions are a good size,... More

Excellent menu, quality food and quality service. The menu changes everyday and the food is well presented. The restaurant has character and the nine of us dining all agreed it was a great place to enjoy an evening.

Great restaurant. Small menu that changes daily. I had a salad that featured smoked salmon - delicious, and the mussels - ditto. Fresh drinks, nice wine selection, great staff. Another must-try restaurant in Columbia!

Came for a friends birthday and didn't leave disappointed. The wait was a little long, but we made the best of it. Once we got a table the waitstaff was very attentive and our meals were delicious. I would highly recommend the beef. Friends had mussels and had great things to say as well. Bill was a bit high but... More

Our first time in Columbia, SC and this was one of the restaurants recommended by our concierge, the other being a fish one. On a Saturday night trying to find a parking spot near the restaurant which took a bit of maneuvering in the downtown district, not realizing the restaurant had its own parking lot. The entrance was not on... More

Named after an old historic auto parts store, this very established restaurant near the capitol provides a wide variety of menu items that change almost every day. It is not an inexpensive experienced but if you want to impress your guest, you can't go wrong.

Description
Located in the historic Congaree Vista with a heated patio and free valet parking, Motor Supply has been serving progressive, New World cuisine using classic French culinary techniques for over 20 years. Led by Executive Chef Wesley Fulmer, the kitchen's lunch, dinner and brunch handwritten menus change daily, featuring contemporary New American cuisine, with nods to Creole, Cajun, New Southern, French, Italian and Asian cuisine. We are Columbia's foremost "farm to fork" restaurant, working with local, sustainable farms for produce, meats, SC seafood and more. Seafood is caught off of the Carolina coast, and all of our stocks, sauces and desserts are made on site, including our charcuterie, with house-made sausages, bacon, country pate, and rillettes, all the way down to the pickles and mustard. Our early 19th century, solid-oak bar with marble columns, imported from Europe, serves 180+ fine wines (Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, 2006-12), an extensive list of imported, domestic and local craft beers, as well as an artisan farm-to-shaker cocktail list made from house-infused liquors, handmade bitters, barrel-aged spirits and locally-sourced ingredients and garnishes.
