My husband and I went for the first time. It has beautiful relaxing atmosphere. Our server named Lucky was wonderful and helpful. He recommended the Squash and Mushroom soup. It was really very good. My husband had the lamb chops and I ordered the sautéed duck breast. Both were cooked extremely well with lots of flavor. We were very pleased... More

Having read the reviews on Trip Advisor, we chose to visit this restaurant at around 5:30pm on a Thursday, when we thought it might be less busy. You walk through pretty wooden doors and descend stairs to a tavern-like basement. Lots of wood, low ceilings, somewhat dim lighting-good ambience. Our waiter, whose name I did not get, alas, was wonderful,... More

First time in Greenville, looking for something not too heavy or fancy after a heavy/fancy evening the day before, my wife and I tried the Trappe Door mid-week at 6-ish. Sparse crowd, so no noise or long wait for food issues (as some other reviewers have noted, likely on busy weekends?). It's Belgium-oriented food and all-Belgium beers, so if you're... More

This is a great place if you want great beer, amazing food, and really unique ambiance. While not cheap, it has always been well worth the cost. The beer selection is always great, and the servers and bartenders are able to give wonderful suggestions based off your tastes and food selection. Definitely one of Greenville's most unique places to eat,... More

I loved the ambience as you walk down the stairs. Once in the restaurant you will find beer taps reaching down from the low ceilings, wood panels everywhere, and giant corbels that are cleverly integrated into the seating area. I got the steak with a peppercorn reduction and a choice of mayo for my fries. Also added creamed brussel sprouts... More

We visited on a Saturday around 130pm. We placed our order for food. 2 tables around us were served their food before us even though they arrived after us. We waited over an hour for our food. There were only 8 tables occupied including us. We were first told our food had been picked up by another server. Our waiter... More

I've been to the Trappe Door twice while visiting Greenville. They have a large variety of beers , and I enjoyed the food very much.
