Sassafras has great southern food at a little bit of a higher price, great for a nice dinner. Enjoyed it very much!

Extensive menu with so many choices you just want to sample some of all. Being in a large group I did get to sample about 6 different plates. Definitely would return.

Enjoyed supper on the patio. A nicely done Manhattan. Excellently prepared pecan crusted red snapper on sautéed spinach and delicious stone ground grits, great fried catfish with lovely collard greens, good shrimp and grits although our dining companion thought the tasso did not works as well with the dish as does andouille sausage. A very enjoyable dining experience.

Stopped into sassafras for a small appetizer and a glass of wine. The food was really tasty and so filling that dinner was not necessary. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the conversation and excellent service.

My daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner was held here. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious and the service was exceptional! I can't wait to return for dinner.

Greenville is a cool city with awesome dining options. This makes it a difficult decision. However, the Blue Crab Nachos at Sassafras sealed the deal for us. Whether as an appetizer or a meal, the nachos is a generous serving of deliciousness. We also enjoyed the wasabi-crusted yellowfin tuna (rare, of course). The venue was a perfect place to share... Jack and I went here for dinner after a long day of walking. I made a reservation and asked for a quiet table; we got it. Then I asked to be moved away from the fan; we got it - all with a smile. The menu made it hard to decide what to order, but the special: mahi mahi on... More

Good food, good service, nice atmosphere. My husband had crab cakes, I had blackened salmon both delicious. Server was knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. Drinks were wonderful and it wasn't overly pricey.

Located in an old cigar factory which is quite pretty but creates a loud atmosphere. The food is typically southern and really well done.

Came in by accident but found a good place for southern food. Inside is quite dark so we had a table outside. Very ample dishes , so if you're hungry , this is a good place. Fried chicken with Mac and cheese was delicious , and very filling . I think you will enjoy this place.
