Off season. Empty at 2:00 for lunch. Great weather allowed for eating in a pleasant outdoor setting. Service friendly+ and efficient. Shrimp and grits as advertised; to die for. Probably the most perfectly cooked shrimp I've had in S&G. Due for a repeat.

Delicious food, great service, brunched after church. Ate outside and enjoyed every bit. Southern Belle salad with a crab cake was perfect. Not too crowded at 11:30 to sit immediately. Very laid back.

This is a great find with original excellent local food. Service was also excellent. Glad we were here in January so we had no wait. All the food was great but the highlights were the shrimp and grits (best we had on the island), mushroom and shrimp cobbler, amazing grits, and key lime pie. We went back several times.

This place is so great. My family and I have been coming here for years and it is one of our favorite places on the island to eat. The food is always great, the staff is friendly, and the menu has a great selection to choose from. The banana pudding was delicious and probably my favorite part of the meal.... More

First time visit for my wife and I, to this unassuming, casual restaurant. Wait Staff was friendly, helpful and added to an enjoyable experience. Our waitress recommend the shrimp-burger, a house specialty. Now shrimp and burger are not 2 words that one would expect to see together, however the combination of the shrimp, herbs, etc produced a sensory delight. I've... More

And ive had shrimp and grits probably hundreds of times. Without question this is top 3. The restaurant is a little tricky to find, but lord... More

Drinks, dinner and dessert were awesome! Everyone loved their meals. But the winner of them all was the Banana Pudding! Now I never eat anything made out of bananas but the others wanted to try it so I took a spoonful. WOW! I kept coming back for more and more! You have to try it!

Charming atmosphere sitting in the yard. It was a little cool the evening we went but the heaters were on so it was pleasant. The moonshine drinks are strong. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was a little underwhelmed by the food but over all it was an enjoyable meal. I would go back to try different menu items.

Lowcountry Backyard is a quirky, fun restaurant with great food! The service is great. If you like pimento cheese, definitely have the pimento cheese appetizer! We enjoyed the meatloaf and the seafood special, a tortilla crusted Mahi. For dessert, the key lime pie was the best. We dined early and didn't wait for a table inside, but the meal we... More
