We ate here when we first arrived to Hilton Head Island. The restaurant is situated in a very pretty spot along side the water at the distant end of the Sea Pines area. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived but we were seated promptly and looked after right away. All four of us at our table enjoyed our... More

I've always loved eating at South Beach Marina. This is the first time I've eaten at the Salty Dog Cafe for dinner. The food is always wonderful but I rather felt ignored as a solo diner. It's a great place for groups but would hesitate to come back and have dinner by myself. Felt a little undervalued

My husband & I joined a friend at the Salty Dog, the location is really unique , located in Sea Pines. Unfortunately the food wasn't anything special. I had clam chowder which was not good. My husband had shrimp which was ok. So we were a little disappointed!

Very well "planned" community with this restaurant. We're still wondering why we had to pay $6 to come in and spend some more money.

We had a great lunch on the dock. We checked out the harbor and the wharf. We enjoyed the location and off season helped with the crowd. Their is something about large boats.

We had heard about this must-see spot and made the way to south beach. There is a $6.00 entrance fee to get into the Sea Pines community where the Salty Dog cafe (and Harbour Town) are located. Worth it. Enjoyed the drive to the cafe. Great lunch options on the menu and food was tasty! Both an indoor and outdoor... More

We ate at The Salty Dog in South Beach and it was delicious. I had a salad from the special's menu which was like a caprese salad but served warm. It had shrimp, tomatoes, romaine lettuce, and mozzarella with a balsamic dressing. So good! The hush puppies we ordered were wonderful as well. We ate outside and enjoyed looking out... More

This was our third trip to Hilton Head Island and did not know this South Beach area existed until we ran across it on this trip. Beautiful Marina with outdoor seating looking at the water and boats. Went there several times. Specials each day as well as a huge menu. Food was very good and large portions. Service was right... More
