This is a standard meat and plus! I have eaten here often and at several locations. All are good. I had 12 in Chopped Steak. More than I needed and topped with onions, it was delicious. Great breakfast and other menu items. Try it.

A good variety, and a hometown atmosphere. Good food! Meat and 3 veggies are a staple, but don't miss the salads--plentiful and delicious. Breakfast is a treat here too!

Nothing spectacular. Most southern mom's can cook the same food at home and it would be so much better. It just seems to be a convenient place to eat if you don't want to cook. A lot of it taste like canned or frozen. Definitely not like grandma's.

You know I like lizards thicket when someone else in the group wants to go there but never my choice. I feel sorry for those you say it's good southern cooking because they have apparently never really had any good southern cooking.. although this place makes an attempt at southern cooking it taste very out of the can. Don't get... More

Very disappointed in the country fried steak, I have had better from Marie Callendars. I also gave a low rating because the menu said black eyed peas and they served crowder peas. Anyone from the south knows the difference. That being said, the peas and collards were good.

Very much enjoyed great southern food, like Grandma used to make! Had green beans, lima beans, collards, and cabbage. Delicious! And the prices are very inexpensive!

It's not Ruth Chris but it's as dependable as they come lots of vegetables and good ole southern cooking. One of the best meat and 3 places you'll find.

Great steady menu of home cooking favorites, meat & 2 or 3 veggies depending on how hungry you are, daily specials, great to-go service, kid's menu, salad options, and comfort foods, all with a southern flair. The waitstaff is always friendly and I never leave hungry. If you have room, their desserts are pretty good. For Thanksgiving I ordered a... More

Outstanding home style cooking like momma made it! The fried chicken is Southern. The veggies are like momma made. The mashed potatoes are "real!" I've never heard a bad word about this place, which I believe is family owned. The banana pudding was great! Prices are decent too, so bring the whole family because they appear family-oriented.
