My wife and I were in Mount Pleasant for a meeting, & looked on Google for somewhere nearby to eat -- and up popped a Thai restaurant on Johnnie Dodds Blvd. It's in a strip mall, and totally unpretentious both outside and in. But the food was splendid, both the traditional pad thai and the stir fry. We ordered both... More

Maybe not the snazziest place from the road, but once inside it is appointed very nicely. Generally good and affordable Thai food. Ask for mild or medium if you are sensitive to "heat". You can always spice it up with the red sauce at the table. Place is quiet and you can actually have a conversation at the table with... More

I had the beef and shrimp Crunchy Noodle salad. It was great. The service was excellent and the food was good. I will definitely come back when I am in town.

I ordered a to go on the Fried Rice and specifically asked for it to be made HOT. On picking it up I confirmed it was HOT and was told so. Imagine my surprise on taking it back and was shocked to find it was horribly bland. When I called to point it out the person who took my order... More

We have been eating at pattaya for years. If you want a fun atmosphere, basil is the more popular place to go. (Downtown basil). But the food is much fresher and better than basil or any other thai place in town. Not sure how anyone can say its not authentic, much more authentic than basil. We have had over half... More

Pattaya serces what I believe to be authentic Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. The herbs are taste very fresh, making the dishes very flavorful. We enjoyed the curry puffs and shrimp blankets for an appetizer and two of their main courses including Pad Prik. The service was attentive and delightful while the atmosphere is average. Like other reviews we read prior... More

Beware of any ethnic restaurant that does not have a clear identity. Think how well a German-French restaurant, or a Welsh-Portuguese would fly, and you'll get an idea of Pattaya. Tom Ka soup was really good, but the Pad Thai seemed like it didn't know its roots. Wife loved the Crab Rangoon; I didn't. In addition to the usual Tsingha... More

This tiny Thai Restaurant has decent food, but you need to beware. I went in alone and ordered Green Curry. The menu listed two prices - $10 and $19. For one person I think anyone would assume the $10 version was the single meal size. Well, they charged me for the $19 size, and the Waiter didn't mention that was... More
