Over cooked, and old rib plate. Part of the the meat hard. Very fatty and horrible taste. The corn on the cobb was way overcooked. The cold slaw was horrible and tasteless. Guess we did not like it.

Being "locals" my wife and I, along with friends enjoy trying out various restaurants in the area. Based on the very positive reviews we read on Trip Advisor, we all decided it was time to try Old South BBQ on Hwy 17 in North Myrtle Beach (one of their two locations). We should have known right off there was something... More

We enjoyed our lunch. The food was great, but the service was better. Our waitress Lexi was so friendly and attentive. The BBQ sauces were also very good (the mustard was the best!). We even bought some sauce to take home.

The meat had a smokiness that was so good that you do not even need to choose from the 5 different sauces that are prepared by had with the southern BBQ label. French fries reminded me of the five guy french fries...hand cut.....the hush puppies were sweet and definitely southern

We had an excellent time here. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their meals and the service was excellent! Will be returning when we visit South Carolina again!

The food is amazing! It is a little shop. Actually in Cherry Grove just north of North Myrtle Beach. The chicken wings are outstanding. The BBQ ribs are just the best we have had in years. We eat BBQ frequently, and this is some of the best. The hush puppies are not to be missed. Just terrific. Good prices too.

My wife and I both had the Chopped Pork plate with Hand cut fries and excellent beans and coleslaw. Great price and great food. Will definitely go again.

If you know anything about BBQ it's not the building it's in that matters. As the owner said, they do one thing and do it well. Very reasonable prices and very large portions. Best BBQ you find in the area. Don't bother going to the chain restaurants. Family owned, doing it right.

We googled BBQ in Myrtle Beach and this place was highly rated. It deserves every accolade. The ribs are very meaty and don't need any additional sauce in my opinion because the dry rub provides excellent flavor. Half order was twice the meal I needed which included two sides. Between the three of us we had many of the sides... More

It's out of the way and located in what looked to be an old gas station, but barbecue lovers know that's where the best 'Que can be found. They have the usual suspects: ribs, beef and pork, but you need to get there early if you want ribs. I had to "settle" for the pulled pork, but it was worth... More
