We had my husbands Christmas party here. Staff was friendly and the decor was great. Food was amazing and we all enjoyed our meal. Server was great, you never knew we were part of a large party.

I was in Deadwood for the weekend with friends and one of the days we were wanting to go for a steak. Most places were 1hr wait or needed reservations so we check out the Gem and got in right away. We ordered prime rib, steaks and drinks, everyone enjoyed their meal and the prices were awesome even for us... More

Had late dinner here. They had a Hawaiian burger that had ham and a peach or pineapple salsa on it. Very good burger. Ordered onions rings and they were not all that good

My husband and I ate dinner here one night. Our server was superb, so friendly. We had an amazing dinner (superb steak), sides, everything. When we ordered beer, she told us if we got it ourselves at the bar, it was happy hour, and we could get it cheaper than if she brings it to us. We truly appreciated her... More

The food was amazing with generous portions at an affordable price. The window view overlooking the main street in Deadwood was a nice addition to the morning. Best breakfast value and atmosphere I've seen in a long time. Really no complaints to be had here.

We recently visited Deadwood and were told that the steaks at Gem were to die for. I had a garlic Parmesan strip steak and it was phenomenal. The service was wonderful and the food was served in a reasonable amount of time and prepared exactly as ordered. Our waitress was super we never wanted for anything!

We've been to Deadwood and this restaurant a couple of times before and this time we were a little disappointed. The Burger and Cheese soup was not to our liking ( of course that can be a personal thing ) but we had to send back our meals as the vegetables and Fries were cold. Waitress was apologetic etc and... My wife and I were referred here from our hotel desk clerk. Three couples inside eating including ourselves. The waitress was very friendly but said she needed more help. Other staff standing around. Bartender reading the newspaper. The steaks were pretty tasteless and not hot. The meal was kind of thrown together. Overall this was a painfully average meal. Will... More

My wife and I have been in Deadwood for a week. If people do not have food allergies then they really do not understand them. My wife is allergic to garlic and onions. Yes, both of them! Also, she needs to be gluten free. So it is hard to find a restaurant that will cater to her. Needless to say,... More
