We always like to try new places to eat, especially during NRW, and yesterday we chose to meet friends at The Walpole Arms for lunch. We booked because we were taking 2 large dogs with us, and like to give fair warning. The staff welcomed...More

Came here on a whim - followed a sign from the main road on a very dreary, wet November day. This pub gave us a warm welcome. It is friendly and with low ceilings it has a cosy atmosphere, at lease on a day like...More

We went with our friends for Sunday lunch on a beautiful autumn day, this was our first visit. Although looking small from the outside it is quite large inside, it’s an old building in an unspoilt village which has not been too gentrified and has...More

Description
The Walpole Arms, Itteringham, dating back to the 18th century is a traditional country pub, sitting within the heart of north Norfolk's picturesque countryside in the village of Itteringham. Itteringham stands on the River Bure, four miles north west from the market town of Aylsham and just two miles from the National Trust's magnificent Blickling Hall. We pride ourselves on offering an innovative and exciting menu, preparing dishes using the highest quality, locally produced, seasonal ingredients. Our traditional bar area is full of country pub charm, with a wood burner warming up cold winter nights, welcoming both diners and non-diners alike, whether it is a pint of one of our many real ales such as Woodfordes Wherry, Adnams Southwold, a glass of wine from the extensive wine list, or a meal from our a la carte menu.
