Where to start. There is so much packed in this little area. There is the Bluff Street Bakery right across from this free little outdoor art area with all sorts of bizarre sculptures and ?art? that sits on the Tennessee River. And Tony's is right there by the bakery and they have some of the best pasta in the area... More

The Hunter Museum is the big draw in this area, but take some time to stroll around the art district. There are outdoor sculptures, the ever-changing Tennessee River, and several shops/restaurants to whet your dining and shopping appetites. Yes, it is a small area, but that's part of its appeal. Everything doesn't have to be overblown to have a wow... More

We enjoy going to this area near the river in downtown Chattanooga, as it is also convenient to an art museum, great small coffee shops and restaurants. Good for an outdoor walk between art gallery visits, as it has a nice view of the river.

What a great area to walk around to see the many pieces, and to get up over the city. Did not go into the museum this time, but it is a state of the art building and display wise

Don't expect much, and you won't be disappointed. There is little to see, but the location is superb, close to the riverwalk and The Hunter Museum.

We've visited the BVAD on a few visits to Chattanooga. We have enjoyed meals at Rembrandt's and Tony's. We have found treasures at the galleries and visited the Hunter Museum. (Free admission the first Sunday of the month.) Our first stay in the BnB was great. Short walk from the aquarium and worth the effort.

We loved the Hunter Museum, the beautiful houses and the fine restaurants in this part of town. Whatever you do, don't miss the Bluff View Bakery. Their bread is stupendous!
