It was decades ago that I left Germany. I have fond memories of stopping often at a schnellimbus in the town of Rodalben and getting my usual order of currywurst, pommes frites, and a mezzo mix. I have tried over the years to find a currywurst that tasted as good. This past week I finally found it here. I also... More

This should be the #1 restaurant in Clarksville and surrounding areas. We actually travel to Clarksville from Nashville just to eat here. They supply the fresh bread for Mitchell's Deli. In Clarksville, there is a restaurant with seating and a separate deli next door. Friendly, patient staff. Order at the counter and the food will be brought to you. Free... More

Overview: This delightful little restaurant is a bit on the expensive side, but well worth it for an occasional treat. The relaxed atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food is delicious! The Good: Silke's (pronounced silk-uhs) produces freshly made breads, pizzas, salads, and desserts. The European recipes are authentic, as the owner/manager is a German immigrant. For a really... We stopped here and bought a multigrain loaf, a rosemary loaf and 6 pumpkin seed rolls. All were absolutely delicious.

Generally the wife and I go to the Café on a Saturday morning as a treat for ourselves. As a rule we will get one meat and one cheese platter then share between each other. It is one of the most authentic German breakfasts I have found since my last trip to Germany. Friendly staff and they have a loyalty... More

We are hosting an exchange student from Norway. She does not like the breads here in the states! We tried every brand/type possible! Thank goodness for Silkes breads! Our student loves their bread as it's the closest to homemade in her country.

This is a great little store, restaurant, and bakery. Customer service was wonderful and the cooks care about the food they are putting on your plate. Our Reuben's were wonderful.

Loved this place. Very family or business friendly. We ordered the German meat plate and the German cheese plate and it was more than enough for a family of four to share. Lots of cakes and pastries. Also has a small deli to order lunch meat, cheese, and different breads to take home with you. If you are traveling, the... More

Always pleasantly surprised - friendly people, great food, especially the bread. A mid-afternoon desert and a cup of coffee smooths out the ruffles on any day.
