First thing.. I like the smaller feel. Our waitress was very courteous and helpful. I ate the ribeye which was amazing... I also love the fact they had my Gentleman Jack. We had a great experience and I would definitely do it again. I honestly went in with a negative feeling about it and came out loving it

Each Christmas Eve my wife and I plan a night out...."Date Night" if you will. We go to Cookeville and eat at Mauricio's and then catch a movie. The restaurant is superb in every way. The atmosphere sets the tone. We started with the stuffed mushrooms and lobster bisque....both were a perfect "10!" Sheryl had the seafood pasta special and... More

The atmosphere is very nice but the service needs to improve. The waitresses are very unprofessional and don't care about the patrons. The food is very well below par.

Our daughter goes to school at TTU so we have been in Cookeville off and on for the past 3 and 1/2 years. We decided to try something different and Mauricio's was on the list from the hotel as dinning options. Well I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was wonderful, old house, but wonderfully decorated and... More

I have eaten at Mauricio's several times, and find it to be one of the very best places to dine. The place is an large home that was converted to a restaurant. The owners are great people, the atmosphere is very comfortable, the food is excellent, I personally have never been disappointed.

My husband and I ate at this restaurant about a year ago, we ordered the boneless beef short ribs with risotto and vegetables, it was AMAZING!!! The beef melted in your mouth, I have been wanting to go back and yesterday we finally got to. Our server was very nice and did a great job. Salad and bread with the... More

I appreciate you letting me know about the short rib. I assure you that we have not changed our product and we hand cut all the slices. It sounds like to me that they cut it too thick and maybe over cooked it. I wished that you would have let your server know immediately so that we could have taken... More

I brought my Husband here for his birthday dinner. We absolutely loved the historical hose turned restaurant. The house alone is worth a visit. Service was prompt and friendly. The menu selections are wonderful too, a little bit of everything. I couldn't imagine that anything on the menu would be bad. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🌟🌟🌟🌟

We met family that was on business in Nashville here and had 5 wonderful dinners. The atmosphere is wonderful, an old 1901 home that has been redone very well. Our server, Whitney, was attentive when needed, left us to talk for over 3 hours when not. All of the dishes were very tasteful and done perfectly. Very nice wine selection... More

The food at Mauricio's Italian Restuarant was good but the service is not very attentive and not very friendly. The room where we dined was obnoxiously noisy with very disruptive loud-mouthed belly laughing women who disturbed everyone. Very difficult to carry on a conversation with my partner and our guests. Probably will not go back.

I apologize for the obnoxious guest. I would hope you would have informed your server that she was disrupting your dinner with your guests. If you did, then the server should have either talked to the lady or given you an opportunity to change rooms. Whether you did inform her or not, I am sorry for that. I would hope... More
