What a gem. Asked at the hotel for a good place to eat. I went where they recommended. It was a typical chain with chain food. When I asked for something other than chain the hotel recommended the Brass Lantern. I don't know if the hotel assumed I would prefer a chain or is where they send people when they... More

This eatery was recommended by the staff at the Hampton Inn near by where I was staying. There was a simple menu with a good selection of dishes. The prices were somewhat expensive for the location as it is not in Crossville, but near the interstate . I ordered the Salmon dish which was one of the less expensive items... More

I ate dinner there with a group of 18 and the staff was very accommodating in moving the tables so that we could all sit together. The restaurant offers daily specials as well as menu offerings. I had one of the specials which was meatloaf and mashed potatoes and a salad. The two pieces of meatloaf were more than I... More

We have been here twice with out of town guests and both times the food, service, and atmosphere were great.

After James took over The Brass Lantern we are happy to dine there for lunch or dinner. With $5 drink and home made dessert specials this is very affordable. You get great food and service at a reasonable price. James does a great job in the kitchen and Denise as hostess or bartender adds to dining experience. This is NOT... More

Good food and good service. Portion sizes were excellent. Cocktails delicious. Needs a furniture upgrade. Beyond that, great place to eat.

This had to be the worst meal I've ever had at a restaurant. I ordered the chicken parm; the chicken was not fully cooked, there were mushy steamed vegetables on the plate, and the sauce was awful. The only thing worth eating was the fettuccine noodles...plain. I seriously feel like I'm going to vomit right now. I hope I don't... More

Wait staff could not recommend a wine. Basically if you've never been there don't count on assistance. They will just "give you more time to figure it out." Food was good. Coffee to go burned our hand cause they didn't have sleeves to put on the cup. Had to use a folded napkin that kept slipping off. Would probably go... More
