Good here is absolutely wonderful and the deserts are to die for ! Only problem is the service. :(. They employ a bunch of little high-school girls who'd rather gossip and flirt than wait on customers. If it weren't for that I would have given them a rating of 5. And it's this way every time I've ever been here.

We were there last night. The food was very good, I had baked chicken, husband had chicken livers with two veggies each. Good service, my husbands food could have been a litter hotter. We did not order dessert. But at the check out they had huge slices of cake that we could not turn down, so left with a to... More

This is a neat and fun restraurant to eat and visit. They have the best deserts that are homemade too.

Today before the awesomely delicious strawberry cake, we had catfish, and three very tasty sides. The food was well worth the drive for lunch.

They have no advertising, no directions from the hwy and are located in the middle of a working Dairy far from town. Yet anyone in the area can tell you where this place is and how to get there. There will be no signs telling you that you are there either. Just the large crowds. Be prepared to wait for... More

Family Owned Restaurant with a beautiful farm country view. Very clean and the food is delicious. Homemade desserts. I will be going back to the Cookie Jar Restaurant.

Located on a family farm, The Cookie Jar is a peaceful country restaurant with wonderful food and friendly people. You enter across the wide front porch and if the weather's nice you can enjoy your meal on the porch. We had lunch on a Saturday and did not have to wait long to be seated. The service was very good... More

Nestled out in the country on a gravel road on the side of a hill in a pasture with a wonderful view of the mountains, the restaurant is in a picturesque location. When we arrived about 6 p.m., it was packed, and we had a 30 minute wait for dinner. Not to worry. We sat on the front porch rocker... More

Really neat atmosphere way out in the country. Great meatloaf and WONDERFUL desserts. However the service is VERY poor. They need to hire someone other than kids who want to stand around and gossip. Also, don't order the Mac and cheese - all you receive is boiled Mac, the cheese is non-existant.

We visit this out of the way restaurant once a year for lunch. The food is very good, much like my Mother & Grandmother prepared - they were both wonderful old fashioned southern cooks and never used a recipe. At any rate this year was a disappointment, the food was good as usual but we experienced what I believe may have... More
