Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’ve eaten here several times when visiting my daughter. I initially, it’s rather like going for school dinners in that you take your tray and move forward to be served but there the similarity ends. There’s always a choice of fine hot dishes and salads....The roast beef I had today was just like home cooking at its best. The fresh fish my daughter had was really first rate. At. around fifteen euros each it represent excellent value.. The desserts are also reasonably priced. There’s a lovely informal atmosphere with helpful and welcoming staff. A little gem centred on a lovely garden centre.More

Driving home from Dublin went in here for a spot of lunch. Lovely food and free coffee with dessert. If you have a sweet tooth you’ll be spoilt for choice all appear to be homemade. No visit complete without purchasing a few outdoor plants on...the way outMore

This is the most fantastic garden centre, they seem to have everything you could possible need for your garden & more with knowledgeable helpful staff. There is also lifestyle shop and a fabulous restaurant/coffee shop, obviously very popular with the local community. Sadly we live...on the other-side of the country so cannot take everything home that we would like to! Not the cheapest for plants but they are all very fresh and good quality.More

Really liked this place. Relaxed and easy going. Lots of different cuisines to choose from including a few different veggie and vegan choices. Nice to have a leisurely stroll around the shops after lunch, with something for everyone.

The Arboretum Home & Garden Heaven is a fantastic place to eat for everyone but is particularly good for coeliacs. They have a wide variety of gluten free main courses and desserts. My own particular favourites are their coffees, their gluten free scones, gf banana...bread & their goats cheese on gf bread with a side salad. .The scones are the nicest I have ever tasted. They're served warm with jam & cream. Special mention to Mark - he goes the extra mile & beyond every time.More

Well, walking through the flower displays to reach the restaurant sets the scene for what is to follow. That is an excellent, colourful display of delicious food on offer at themed counters. Its so easy to chose, buy eat and then return for dessert if...you still have room for it. Definitely worth a visit, and bring the kids too, they have a great play area.More

Such a variety of dishes, savoury/sweet available here at very reasonable prices. The garden centre itself is quite pricey but the good is delicious, fresh, tasty, homemade and well worth a visit just for lunch alone.

The soup was very nice but could have been a bit hotter. However, as it is self service I suspect that people don't always put the lids back on properly. The bread was very delicious and I bought a loaf to take home with me....I don't know what the main meals are like as we only had soup and bread. There was also a lovely selection of cakes on display!More

It's amazing how excellent, intuitive service can turn an otherwise bad experience into a special one. Breaking a journey for a coffee in the beautiful Garden Centre restaurant I was initially unimpressed when the slice of bread I had ordered did not materialise. A member...of staff had gone to check but not returned. Imagine my surprise when the owner/ manager Mark arrived to apologise and to offer something complimentaryto eat. I not only enjoyed the bread but left with some as well. Customer Care is so important , particularly in the little details. Well done to the Aboretum. The bread is wonderful!More
